則詣所羅把伯、與族中最著者、曰、我宗事爾之上帝、與爾無異、自亞述王以撒哈頓、使我至此迄今、祭司匪懈、故欲與爾同建斯殿。

they came to Zerubbabel and to the heads of the families and said,“ Let us help you build because, like you, we seek your God and have been sacrificing to him since the time of Esarhaddon king of Assyria, who brought us here.”

Then those enemies came to Zerubbabel. The family leaders of Israel were with him. The enemies said,“ We want to help you build. We’re just like you. We worship your God. We offer sacrifices to him. We’ve been doing that ever since the time of Esarhaddon. He was king of Assyria. He brought our people here.”

they approached Zerubbabel and the heads of fathers’ houses and said to them,“ Let us build with you, for we worship your God as you do, and we have been sacrificing to him ever since the days of Esarhaddon king of Assyria who brought us here.”

So they approached Zerubbabel and the other leaders and said,“ Let us build with you, for we worship your God just as you do. We have sacrificed to him ever since King Esarhaddon of Assyria brought us here.”

他们讥讽、嘲笑，怀着恶意说欺压人的话。他们说话出于高傲；

他从那地出来，往亚述去，建造了尼尼微、利河伯-以珥、迦拉，

火热的嘴配邪恶的心，就像银渣包在瓦器上。怀恨人的，用言语掩饰自己，心里却存着诡诈。他说的再好听，也不要相信他，因为他的心里有七样可憎之事。他的怨恨虽用欺瞒掩盖，但他的邪恶必在会众里被揭露。

扬尼和扬布列怎样抵挡摩西，这些人也照样抵挡真理；他们理性败坏，在信仰上经不起考验。

因为这样的人是假使徒，是诡诈的工人，他们装做基督的使徒。这并不足为奇，原来撒旦自己也装做光明的天使；所以，即使他的仆人把自己装做义的仆人，也不足为怪；他们的结局必然照着他们的行为。

不过，在子民当中也出现过假先知；照样，在你们当中也会有假教师。他们会偷偷引进使人灭亡的异端，甚至否认那救赎他们的主，给自己招来快速的灭亡。许多人会随从他们好色的事；真理之道也会因他们的缘故，受到亵渎。

其实提到这件事，是因着一些偷偷进来的假弟兄的缘故；他们混进来窥视我们在基督耶稣里所拥有的自由，为了要奴役我们。
