控告他说：“我们查出这个人煽惑我们的同胞，阻止纳税给凯撒，并且自称是基督，是王。”彼拉多问他：“你是犹太人的王吗？”耶稣回答：“你已经说了（“你已经说了”或译：“这是你说的”）。”彼拉多对祭司长和众人说：“我在这人身上，查不出有什么罪。”但他们极力说：“他在犹太全地教导人，煽动群众，从加利利直到这里。”

在我们神的城中，在他的圣山上，耶和华是至大的，应该大受赞美。在北面的锡安山、大君王的城，美丽高耸，是全地所喜欢的。

各样的恶事要远离。

因为耶和华的怒气向耶路撒冷和犹大发作，直到他把他们从自己的面前赶走。后来，西底家背叛了巴比伦王。

你们为主的缘故，要顺服人的一切制度，无论是至尊的君王，或是君王所派赏善罚恶的官员；因为这是神的旨意，要藉着你们的善行，塞住糊涂无知人的口。

你说有作战的智谋和能力，只是嘴上空言，现在你倚赖谁才背叛我呢？

他们对我说：“那些从被掳剩下的余民，在犹大省那里遭遇大患难，受到凌辱。耶路撒冷的城墙倒塌，城门也被火烧毁。”

“你要对那叛逆的民族说：‘你们不知道这些事是什么意思吗？’你要告诉他们：‘看哪！巴比伦王曾到耶路撒冷来，把其中的王和众领袖掳去，带他们到巴比伦那里去。他从以色列王室后裔中选出一人，与他立约，叫他起誓，并且把国中那些有势力的人掳去，使国衰微，不能再兴盛，唯有谨守条约他才可以继续存在。可是这人背叛了巴比伦王，差遣使者到埃及去，要得战马和大军。他能亨通吗？行这样事的人，怎能逃脱呢？他破坏条约，怎能逃脱呢？我指着我的永生起誓：他藐视了自己所起的誓，背弃了与王所立的约，因此他必死在巴比伦，就是那立他作王的巴比伦王的国家。这是耶和华的宣告。敌人建造围城的高墙，筑起攻城土垒要剪除多人的时候，法老率领大军和大队人马，还是不能帮助他作战。他藐视誓言，背弃条约；他已宣誓效忠，却又行了这一切事，所以他必不能逃脱。因此主耶和华这样说：我指着我的永生起誓：他既然藐视我的誓言，背弃我的约，我必使这罪归到他的头上。我要把我的网撒在他身上，他必在我的网罗中被捕获；我要把他带到巴比伦去，并且要在那里因他对我不忠的罪审判他。他军中所有的精兵（按照《马索拉文本》，“精兵”作“逃跑的人”；现参照其他抄本、《七十士译本》和其他古译本翻译），都必倒在刀下；剩下的也必分散到四方；你们就知道说这话的是我耶和华。

我下令考查，发现这城自古以来反叛列王，城中常有造反叛乱的事。

你要知道，也要明白，从发出命令恢复和重建耶路撒冷，直到受膏君的时候，必有七个七；又有六十二个七（“必有七个七；又有六十二个七”或译：“必有七个七和六十二个七”），耶路撒冷连广场和濠沟，都必重新建造起来；那是一段困苦的时期。

我们看这个人就像瘟疫一样，是煽动普天下犹太人生乱的人，又是拿撒勒派的首领。

那忠贞的城，怎么会变成妓女！她从前充满公平，有公义居在其中，现在却有凶手居住。你的银子变成了渣滓，你的酒用水搀混。你的官长存心悖逆，与盗贼同伙；人都贪爱贿赂，追索私酬；他们不替孤儿伸冤，寡妇的案件也呈不到他们面前。

约雅敬在位的时候，巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒来攻打他，约雅敬就臣服他三年，后来却反悔，背叛他。
