爾將生子、命名所羅門、彼喜平康、在世之日、我必拯之於群敵、錫綏安於以色列族、彼將建殿、為籲我名之所、彼將為我子、我將為其父、立為以色列族王、鞏固其國、永世靡暨。

我告爾一事、爾當知詔建耶路撒冷、逮及受膏之君至、必有七日、復乘以七、更有七日、復乘以六十二、築城修道、必在患難之時、

但以理見王、王曰、昔我祖虜猶大之俘囚、至於國中、爾但以理果在其中乎、

今我上帝耶和華錫我綏安、曠觀四方、無敵無殃。我欲建殿、籲我上帝耶和華名、應耶和華告我父大闢之言、曰、我將使爾子繼位、彼必建殿、以籲我名。

主大闢厥門、我自有功效、惟敵者多也、

撒八拉聞我儕築垣、怒甚、訕謗猶大人、告其同宗及撒馬利亞軍旅、曰、此荏弱之猶大人何為、斯邑既燬、盡成瓦礫、彼乃欲復興工作、立竣厥工乎。吾儕豈容其建城獻祭哉。亞捫人多比侍立、曰、彼所築之石墻、即狐登之亦圮。我禱曰、我為人藐視、望上帝鑒察、願彼之凌辱人者、反以自受、見虜於異邦、遭其虐遇。勿宥其過、勿赦其罪、蓋彼故令版築者中心忿怒。我儕建邑垣、使相連接、其功已半、乃民一心於斯故也。撒八拉、多比、及亞喇伯人、亞捫人、亞實突人、聞耶路撒冷民建邑垣、修損缺、則怒甚、謀攻耶路撒冷、阻其工作。我儕禱告上帝、晨夕設備。猶大人曰、瓦礫尚多、負荷乏力、不能築垣。敵意將乘其不備、突入其中、殺之、使工作悉止。
