爾將生子、彼喜平康、我亦使之得平康、不為四周之敵所擾、其名將稱所羅門、所羅門譯即平康之義彼在世之日、我必使以色列人平安康泰、彼將為我名建殿、彼必為我子、我為其父、彼為以色列王、我必鞏固其國、至於永遠云、

爾當知當明、自出令復建耶路撒冷、至於受膏君之時、有七七、及六十二七、其間邑必復建、復有街市、復有城與濠、城與濠或作城垣時有患難、

於是但以理召至王前、王謂之曰、昔我父王父王或作祖王自猶大地、遷移猶大民至此、爾即其中之但以理乎、

今主我之天主賜我四方綏安、既無仇敵、亦無災害、我欲為主我天主之名建殿、應主許我父大衛之言云、我將使爾子繼爾之位、彼必為我名建殿、

因有廣大之門、開於我前、廣有功效、然敵者亦多、○

參巴拉聞我儕建城垣、則甚忿怒嫉恨、並訕笑猶大人、謂其同族及撒瑪利亞軍旅曰、此荏弱之猶大人何為、國家豈容其建城乎、豈能復獻祭乎、豈能一日成功乎、豈能自土壘中出已燬之石、復立為垣乎、亞捫人多比雅旁立曰、彼所建之石墻、即狐登之亦傾圮、我儕被人藐視、求我天主聽察、彼訕謗我儕、願其受報、見擄於異邦、受凌虐、莫蔽其愆尤、莫塗抹其罪於主前、蓋彼使建城之人中心憂忿、我儕建城垣、城垣已半聯絡、因民奮勉作工、參巴拉、多比雅、亞拉伯人、亞捫人、亞實突人、聞耶路撒冷城垣被建、損缺之處修補、則怒甚、同謀來攻耶路撒冷、加以阻撓、我儕禱告我天主、又因彼之故設備、晝夜防之、猶大人曰、灰土尚多、負荷者之力已竭、我儕不能建城垣、我敵相議曰、趁其不知不見、突入其間以殺之、使工作止息、

被擄而歸之民、如此以行、祭司以斯拉與族長數人、循其宗族、以名見派、於十月朔、同坐以察此事、

宣告猶大耶路撒冷被擄而歸者、命之咸集於耶路撒冷、

正月朔、以斯拉由巴比倫啟程、蒙其天主之祐、五月朔乃至耶路撒冷、
