Then they gave money to the masons and carpenters, and gave food and drink and olive oil to the people of Sidon and Tyre, so that they would bring cedar logs by sea from Lebanon to Joppa, as authorized by Cyrus king of Persia.

The people gave money to those who worked with stone and those who worked with wood. They gave food and drink and olive oil to the people of Sidon and Tyre. Then those people brought cedar logs down from Lebanon to the Mediterranean Sea. They floated them down to Joppa. Cyrus, the king of Persia, authorized them to do it.

So they gave money to the masons and the carpenters, and food, drink, and oil to the Sidonians and the Tyrians to bring cedar trees from Lebanon to the sea, to Joppa, according to the grant that they had from Cyrus king of Persia.

Then the people hired masons and carpenters and bought cedar logs from the people of Tyre and Sidon, paying them with food, wine, and olive oil. The logs were brought down from the Lebanon mountains and floated along the coast of the Mediterranean Sea to Joppa, for King Cyrus had given permission for this.

在約帕有一個女門徒，名叫大比大，譯成希利尼話叫作多加，就是羚羊的意思。這個婦人充滿着善行和施捨、就是她所常行的。

把所平的銀子交在辦事的人、永恆主殿裏監工的人、手裏，讓他們支給照料永恆主之殿的木匠和建築的人，也給土匠、和鑿石的人，又買木料和鑿成的石頭，來修理永恆主之殿破壞的地方，也做修理聖殿一切開支的用處。

我的僕人要從利巴嫩將這木料運下海裏；我要把木料紮成筏子，由海上運到你所叫我送到的地方，在那裏拆開，你就可以收起來；你也須要成全我的心願，將食物給我的家。』於是希蘭照所羅門所心願的將香柏木和松木給他。所羅門也將麥子二萬歌珥、搗成的油二萬罷特給希蘭，做他家的食物：所羅門年年都這樣給希蘭。

但是約拿卻起來，逃往他施去避永恆主的面；他下到約帕，遇見了一隻船要往他施；他給了船費，就下船，要和他們同往他施、去避永恆主的面。

看吧，我必給砍伐的人、給砍伐樹木的人食物，就是給你僕人小麥二萬歌珥，大麥二萬歌珥，酒二萬罷特，油二萬罷特。』推羅王戶蘭寫信送給所羅門說：『因為永恆主愛他的子民，他才使你做王來管理他們。』戶蘭又說：『那造天地的永恆主以色列的上帝、是當受祝頌的；他賜給大衛王一個有智慧的兒子賦有見識聰明，可以為永恆主建殿，又為自己造王宮。『現在我差遣一個有技巧的人，賦有聰明，我親信的師父戶蘭；他是但族女子中一個婦人的兒子；他父親是推羅人，他精於製作金、銀、銅、鐵、石、木、和紫紅色、藍紫色線、細麻、和大紅色線，又能作各樣的刻工，能巧設交給他作的各樣圖案，同你的巧匠和我主你父大衛的巧匠一起工作。現在呢、我主所說到的小麥、大麥、酒、油，就請運來給僕人。我們呢、必照你一切所需要的從利巴嫩砍下樹木來，紮成木簰、浮海運到約帕去給你，你就可以送上耶路撒冷去。』

『波斯王古列這麼說：「永恆主天上的上帝已將地上萬國都賜給我，是他委派了我在猶大的耶路撒冷、為他建殿。你們中間凡做他子民的都可以上猶大的耶路撒冷——願他的上帝與他同在——去建造永恆主以色列之上帝的殿：只有他是上帝；他在耶路撒冷。凡剩下的餘民、無論寄居在甚麼地方，那地方的人都要用金銀財物牲口同自願獻的禮物支助他：禮物是要為那在耶路撒冷之上帝的殿而奉獻的。」』

交在辦事的人、在永恆主的殿裏監工的人、手裏，好讓他們交給在永恆主殿裏作工的人，去修理聖殿破壞的地方；交給木匠和建築的人、跟土匠；又買木料和鑿成的石頭，來修理殿。

猶大和以色列地都和你作生意；他們用麥子、棗、早熟無花果、蜜、油、和止痛乳香、來換你的貨物。

王和耶何耶大將銀子交給永恆主殿裏辦事的人，辦事人就雇了鑿石人和匠人來重新修造永恆主的殿，也雇了鐵匠銅匠來修理永恆主的殿。作工的人一直地作工，修復的工作在他們手下順序地進行；他們將上帝的殿重立其舊觀，並使它很堅固。

如今你要打發人往約帕去，邀請一個稱為彼得的西門來。這個人住在一個硝皮匠西門家裏作客，他的房子就在海邊上。』

古列王元年古列王下了諭旨：關於那在耶路撒冷的上帝之殿，這殿要重新建造，作為獻祭的地方；根基要好好地奠；殿高要六十肘，寬要六十肘；用三層琢光的石頭、一層木頭：經費要由王的庫房支付。並且上帝殿中的器皿、無論金的銀的、就是尼布甲尼撒從耶路撒冷的殿堂中所掠去、帶到巴比倫的、也都要歸還到耶路撒冷的殿堂中，在原處存放在上帝的殿裏。』
