Then they gave money to the masons and carpenters, and gave food and drink and olive oil to the people of Sidon and Tyre, so that they would bring cedar logs by sea from Lebanon to Joppa, as authorized by Cyrus king of Persia.

The people gave money to those who worked with stone and those who worked with wood. They gave food and drink and olive oil to the people of Sidon and Tyre. Then those people brought cedar logs down from Lebanon to the Mediterranean Sea. They floated them down to Joppa. Cyrus, the king of Persia, authorized them to do it.

So they gave money to the masons and the carpenters, and food, drink, and oil to the Sidonians and the Tyrians to bring cedar trees from Lebanon to the sea, to Joppa, according to the grant that they had from Cyrus king of Persia.

Then the people hired masons and carpenters and bought cedar logs from the people of Tyre and Sidon, paying them with food, wine, and olive oil. The logs were brought down from the Lebanon mountains and floated along the coast of the Mediterranean Sea to Joppa, for King Cyrus had given permission for this.

They gave money to the stonecutters and artisans, and gave food, drink, and oil to the people of Sidon and Tyre, so they would bring cedar wood from Lebanon to Joppa by sea, according to the authorization given them by King Cyrus of Persia.

在约帕有一个女门徒，名叫戴比莎，希腊话叫多加；她为人乐善好施。

他们把所称的银子交在耶和华殿中管理工匠的监工手里，然后他们支付给在耶和华殿作工的木匠和建筑工人，以及泥匠和石匠；又用来购买木材和凿好的石头，来修理耶和华殿里毁坏的地方，以及支付一切修理耶和华殿的开支。

我的仆人要把这些木材从黎巴嫩运下海中；我会把木材扎成木筏，从海上运到你指定我的地方去。我在那里把木材拆开，你就可以运走。你也要成全我的心愿，用粮食供应我家。”于是希兰照所罗门所想要的，供给他香柏木和松木。所罗门也给了希兰麦子四百万公升，纯油四十万公升（按照《马索拉文本》，“四十万公升”作“二十歌珥”，约四千公升；现参照《七十士译本》翻译；参代下2:10），作为他家的食物。所罗门年年都这样供给希兰。

可是约拿却起来，要逃往他施去，躲避耶和华；他下到约帕，找到了一只要开往他施去的船；他给了钱，就上船（“上船”原文作“下船”），要和他们同往他施去，离开耶和华。

至于你的仆人，就是砍伐树木的人，我必给他们食物，就是小麦四百万公升、大麦四百万公升、酒四十万公升、油四十万公升。”推罗王希兰回信给所罗门说：“耶和华因为爱自己的子民，所以立你作他们的王。”希兰又说：“创造天地的耶和华以色列的神，是应当称颂的！因为他赐给大卫王一个有智慧的儿子，有聪明有见识，可以为耶和华建造殿宇，为自己建造王宫。现在我派一个技艺精巧、满有聪明的人来，他是我父亲希兰的匠人。他是但支派一个妇人的儿子，他的父亲是推罗人。他精于使用金、银、铜、铁、石、木，以及紫色蓝色朱红色线和细麻作工，也能作各样雕刻的工作，又能设计各样交托他们的巧工。这人可以和你的巧匠，以及我主你父亲大卫的巧匠一同工作。我主所说的小麦、大麦、酒和油，请派人运来给众仆人。我们必照着你所需要的，从黎巴嫩砍下树木，扎成木筏，从海上运到约帕，你可以从那里把它们运上耶路撒冷。”

“波斯王古列这样说：‘耶和华天上的神已经把地上万国赐给我。他指派我在犹大的耶路撒冷为他建造殿宇。你们中间凡是他的子民，愿神与他同在的，都可以上犹大的耶路撒冷去，建造耶和华以色列的神的殿，他是在耶路撒冷受敬拜的神。所有余民，无论寄居在什么地方，那地方的人都要用金、银、财物、牲畜帮助他，也要为在耶路撒冷神的殿献上甘心的礼物。’”

然后要他们把银子交到在耶和华殿管理工匠的人手中，他们可以把银子交付在耶和华殿修补破坏的地方的工匠，就是交给木匠、建筑工人、石匠，又购买木材和凿好的石头，用来修理圣殿破坏的地方。

犹大和以色列地都与你通商；他们用米匿的麦子、饼、蜜、油和乳香来换取你的商品。

王和耶何耶大把银子交给耶和华殿的办事人员，他们就雇了石匠和木匠，重建耶和华的殿，又雇了铁匠和铜匠，重建耶和华的殿。作工的人不住工作，重修的工程在他们手下顺利进行；他们把神的殿重建得和先前一样，并且非常坚固。

现在你要派人到约帕去，请那个名叫彼得的西门来。他在一个制皮工人西门的家里作客，房子就在海边。”

“古列王元年，古列王颁发有关在耶路撒冷神的殿的命令，要把这殿重建起来，作献祭的地方；要奠立殿的根基。殿高二十七公尺，宽二十七公尺。三层光滑石块，一层新木头，所有费用由王库支付。至于从前尼布甲尼撒从耶路撒冷的殿里掠夺，带到巴比伦的神殿中的金银器皿，都要归还，送到耶路撒冷的殿，各按原来的地方放在神的殿中。”
