Then they gave money to the masons and carpenters, and gave food and drink and olive oil to the people of Sidon and Tyre, so that they would bring cedar logs by sea from Lebanon to Joppa, as authorized by Cyrus king of Persia.

The people gave money to those who worked with stone and those who worked with wood. They gave food and drink and olive oil to the people of Sidon and Tyre. Then those people brought cedar logs down from Lebanon to the Mediterranean Sea. They floated them down to Joppa. Cyrus, the king of Persia, authorized them to do it.

So they gave money to the masons and the carpenters, and food, drink, and oil to the Sidonians and the Tyrians to bring cedar trees from Lebanon to the sea, to Joppa, according to the grant that they had from Cyrus king of Persia.

Then the people hired masons and carpenters and bought cedar logs from the people of Tyre and Sidon, paying them with food, wine, and olive oil. The logs were brought down from the Lebanon mountains and floated along the coast of the Mediterranean Sea to Joppa, for King Cyrus had given permission for this.

They gave money to the stonecutters and artisans, and gave food, drink, and oil to the people of Sidon and Tyre, so they would bring cedar wood from Lebanon to Joppa by sea, according to the authorization given them by King Cyrus of Persia.

我的工人會將這些木料從黎巴嫩紮成木筏，經海道運到你指定的地點。木筏拆散以後，你就可以點收了。你也要成全我的心願，供應我家食糧。」於是，希蘭供應所羅門需用的香柏木和松木，所羅門每年供應希蘭四百四十萬升麥子和四千四百升橄欖油。

可是，約拿卻起身逃往他施，想躲避耶和華。他到了約帕港，看見一艘要開往他施的船，就付了船費，上了船，想和眾人一起去他施，好躲避耶和華。

我會供給你的伐木工人四百四十萬升小麥、四百四十萬升大麥、四十四萬升酒和四十四萬升油。」泰爾王希蘭寫信給所羅門說：「耶和華愛祂的子民，所以立你做他們的王。創造天地的以色列的上帝耶和華當受稱頌！祂賜給大衛王一個有智慧、謀略和悟性的兒子來為耶和華建殿，也為他自己建造王宮。現在，我派聰明能幹的巧匠戶蘭去你那裡。他的母親是但支派的人，父親是泰爾人。他精於雕刻和設計，善用金銀銅鐵和木石製造物品，又會編織紫色、藍色、朱紅色的布和細麻布。你可以讓他與你的工匠和你父親大衛的工匠一起工作。現在，請我主把許諾的小麥、大麥、油和酒運給僕人。我們會在黎巴嫩砍伐你需要的木材，紮成木筏，經海道運到約帕，你可以從那裡將木材轉運到耶路撒冷。」

「波斯王塞魯士如此說，『天上的上帝耶和華已把天下萬國都賜給我，祂吩咐我在猶大的耶路撒冷為祂建造殿宇。你們當中凡是耶和華的子民，都可以去猶大的耶路撒冷，為住在耶路撒冷的以色列的上帝耶和華建殿，願上帝與他們同在！凡留下不回國的人，無論住在哪裡，都要用金銀、財物和牲畜幫助同區那些將要回國的人，此外還要為耶路撒冷的上帝的殿獻上自願獻的禮物。』」

王與耶何耶大把銀子交給耶和華殿裡的辦事人員，他們就雇用石匠、木匠、鐵匠和銅匠來整修耶和華的殿。工人辛勤整修，工程進展順利，上帝的殿恢復了原貌，而且非常堅固。

如今你要派人去約帕，請一個叫西門·彼得的人來。他住在一個叫西門的皮革匠家裡，房子在海邊。」

「塞魯士王元年，塞魯士王就耶路撒冷的上帝之殿降下諭旨，要重建這殿作獻祭之處，要奠立殿的地基。殿要高二十七米、寬二十七米，每三層巨石加鋪一層木料，經費由國庫支付。尼布甲尼撒從耶路撒冷上帝的殿裡擄到巴比倫的金銀器皿，都要歸還到耶路撒冷上帝的殿裡，放回原處。」
