And they kept the Feast of Booths, as it is written, and offered the daily burnt offerings by number according to the rule, as each day required,

Then in accordance with what is written, they celebrated the Festival of Tabernacles with the required number of burnt offerings prescribed for each day.

And there was very great rejoicing.

“ On the fifteenth day of the seventh month you shall have a holy convocation. You shall not do any ordinary work,but you shall offer a burnt offering, a food offering, with a pleasing aroma to the Lord: one bull, one ram, seven male lambs a year old without blemish,and the grain offering and the drink offerings for the bull, for the ram, and for the lambs, in the prescribed quantities;also one male goat for a sin offering; besides the regular burnt offering and its grain offering and its drink offering.

Then everyone who survives of all the nations that have come against Jerusalem shall go up year after year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Booths.And if any of the families of the earth do not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, there will be no rain on them.And if the family of Egypt does not go up and present themselves, then on them there shall be no rain; there shall be the plague with which the Lord afflicts the nations that do not go up to keep the Feast of Booths.This shall be the punishment to Egypt and the punishment to all the nations that do not go up to keep the Feast of Booths.

On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out,“ If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink.

The taskmasters were urgent, saying,“ Complete your work, your daily task each day, as when there was straw.”

and for his allowance, a regular allowance was given him by the king, according to his daily needs, until the day of his death, as long as he lived.

“ Speak to the people of Israel, saying, On the fifteenth day of this seventh month and for seven days is the Feast of Booths to the Lord.On the first day shall be a holy convocation; you shall not do any ordinary work.For seven days you shall present food offerings to the Lord. On the eighth day you shall hold a holy convocation and present a food offering to the Lord. It is a solemn assembly; you shall not do any ordinary work.

Now the Jews’ Feast of Booths was at hand.

“ Now this is what you shall offer on the altar: two lambs a year old day by day regularly.
