Despite their fear of the peoples around them, they built the altar on its foundation and sacrificed burnt offerings on it to the Lord, both the morning and evening sacrifices.

The people who built the altar were afraid of the nations around them. But they built it anyway. They set it up where it had stood before. They sacrificed burnt offerings on it to the Lord. They offered the morning and evening sacrifices on it.

They set the altar in its place, for fear was on them because of the peoples of the lands, and they offered burnt offerings on it to the Lord, burnt offerings morning and evening.

Even though the people were afraid of the local residents, they rebuilt the altar at its old site. Then they began to sacrifice burnt offerings on the altar to the Lord each morning and evening.

They set up the altar on its foundation and offered burnt offerings for the morning and evening on it to the LORD even though they feared the surrounding peoples.

于是，当地人阻挠犹大人，使他们不敢建殿，

“你告诉以色列人，要在规定的时间献上蒙我悦纳的馨香火祭，作为我的食物。以下是他们要献给耶和华的火祭。“每天两只毫无残疾、一岁的公羊羔作燔祭，早晨和傍晚各献一只，同时献上素祭——一公斤细面粉调上一升油。这是在西奈山上规定的日常燔祭，是献给耶和华的馨香火祭。与每只羊羔一同献上的还有一升酒，要将酒洒在圣所作为献给耶和华的奠祭。傍晚献羊羔时，也要像早上一样同时献上素祭和奠祭，作蒙耶和华悦纳的馨香火祭。

我的仇敌整日攻击我，许多人狂妄地迫害我。我害怕的时候，仍要倚靠你。我赞美上帝的应许，我信靠祂，就不惧怕，区区世人能把我怎样？

耶和华是我的光，我的拯救，我还怕谁？耶和华是我的堡垒，我还怕谁？当恶人来吞吃我，仇敌来攻击我时，必失足跌倒。

所罗门造了一座铜坛，长九米，宽九米，高四点五米。

上奏亚达薛西王，“‘幼发拉底河西的臣民奏告亚达薛西王，王该知道，从王那里到我们这里来的犹太人已经去了耶路撒冷，如今正在重建这座叛逆、罪恶之城，正在重建地基，修筑城墙。王该知道，如果这城建好，城墙完工，他们将不再进贡、交赋、纳税，王的税收必受亏损。我们既食王禄，就不能坐视王遭受损失，因此上奏于王。请王查看先王的记录，必从中获悉这城是叛逆之城，危害列王和各省。自古以来，城中叛乱不断，因此才被毁灭。我们愿王知道，这城一旦建好，城墙完工，幼发拉底河西之地就不再为王所有了。’”

然后，我在亚哈瓦河边宣布禁食，为要在我们的上帝面前谦卑下来，祈求祂保护我们、我们的儿女及财物一路平安。我羞于求王派步兵和骑兵沿途帮助我们御敌，因为我们曾经告诉王：“我们的上帝会施恩帮助寻求祂的人，但会向背弃祂的人发烈怒。”

“你们每天要献上两只一岁的羊羔作燔祭。一只在早晨献上，另一只在黄昏献上。要用一公斤细面粉调一升橄榄油做成素祭，与早晨献的羊羔一同献上，再献上一升酒作奠祭。另一只羊要在黄昏的时候献上，所献的素祭和奠祭要跟早晨的一样，作为蒙耶和华悦纳的馨香火祭。“你们世世代代要不断地在我面前献上燔祭，祭礼要在会幕门前举行，这会幕就是我跟你们会面和交谈的地方。
