以色列人聽到律法書上的話，便逐出所有外族人。

凡永遠獻上的，不論是人、牲畜或是田產，都不可賣掉，也不可贖回，因為這一切都屬於耶和華，是至聖的。

要把所有的金銀和銅鐵器皿分別出來獻給耶和華，放進耶和華的庫房裡。」

牽來兩頭牛，把牠們切成碎塊，然後派使者把碎塊分發到以色列全境，並且宣佈：「誰拒絕跟隨掃羅和撒母耳出戰，他的牛就要被砍成這樣。」上帝使百姓充滿恐懼，他們都同心合意地回應。

凡不遵行你上帝的律法和王法的，要對他嚴加治罪，或處死，或發配，或抄家，或監禁。」
