We will not neglect the temple of our God.”

They came to Joshua at the camp in Gilgal and said to him and the men of Israel,“ We have come from a distant land. Make a treaty with us.”

Jehoiada then drew up a covenant between the LORD and the king and people, stipulating that they should be loyal to the LORD.
