我在耶路撒冷的先知中曾見恐怖的事；他們犯姦淫，行虛謊，又堅固惡人的手，無人回轉離開自己的惡行。他們在我面前都像所多瑪，耶路撒冷的居民都像蛾摩拉。

以利年紀老邁，聽見他兩個兒子對以色列眾人所做一切的事，又聽見他們與會幕門前伺候的婦人同寢，就對他們說：「你們為何做這樣的事呢？我從這眾百姓聽見了你們的惡行。我兒啊，不可這樣！我聽到耶和華的百姓傳出你們不好的名聲。

耶書亞生約雅金，約雅金生以利亞實，以利亞實生耶何耶大，

你們卻偏離正道，使許多人在這訓誨上絆跌。你們破壞了我與利未人所立的約。這是萬軍之耶和華說的。所以我使你們被眾百姓藐視，看為卑賤；因你們不遵守我的道，在律法上看人的情面。」

連先知帶祭司都是褻瀆的，就是在我殿中，我也看見他們的惡行。這是耶和華說的。

亞撒利雅生西萊雅；西萊雅生約薩答。當耶和華藉尼布甲尼撒的手擄掠猶大和耶路撒冷的時候，約薩答也被擄去。

他要娶處女為妻。大祭司不可娶寡婦，被休的婦人，或被玷污的妓女為妻；他只可以娶自己百姓中的處女為妻。他不可在自己百姓中侮辱他的兒女，因為我是使他分別為聖的耶和華。」

以利亞實大祭司的孫子，耶何耶大的一個兒子是和倫人參巴拉的女婿，我就把他從我這裏趕出去。

「祭司不可娶妓女，或被玷污的女人為妻，也不可娶被休的婦人為妻，因為他是歸上帝為聖的。
