今當立我牧伯、為會眾理此事、凡我邑中、娶異族之女者、偕其長老士師、屆期咸至、迨上帝因斯事之怒息焉、

諸會長居其次、凡諸邑娶於異邦者、偕其長老士師、屆期咸至、迨此事考覈既明、則上帝之震怒可息。

不如使會眾之牧伯理此事、凡在我諸邑娶異族女者、可按議定之時日、偕本邑長老士師咸至、聽牧伯察之、若是、庶我天主不復緣此事、向我震怒、

Let our officials act for the whole assembly. Then let everyone in our towns who has married a foreign woman come at a set time, along with the elders and judges of each town, until the fierce anger of our God in this matter is turned away from us.”

Our officials can act for the whole community. Have everyone in our towns who has married a woman from another land come at a certain time. Tell them to come together with the elders and judges of each town. Then our God will no longer be angry with us concerning this whole matter.”

Let our officials stand for the whole assembly. Let all in our cities who have taken foreign wives come at appointed times, and with them the elders and judges of every city, until the fierce wrath of our God over this matter is turned away from us.”

Let our leaders act on behalf of us all. Let everyone who has a pagan wife come at a scheduled time, accompanied by the leaders and judges of his city, so that the fierce anger of our God concerning this affair may be turned away from us.”

現在我心中有意與耶和華－以色列的上帝立約，好使他的烈怒轉離我們。

現在，不要像你們祖先硬着頸項，只要歸順耶和華，進入他的聖所，就是永遠成聖的居所，又要事奉耶和華－你們的上帝，好使他的烈怒轉離你們。

耶和華對摩西說：「拿下百姓中所有的領袖，對着太陽把他們懸掛在我面前，使我向以色列所發的怒氣可以平息。」

他在國中，在猶大一切堅固城設立審判官，各城都是如此。他對審判官說：「你們應當謹慎所做的事，因為你們審判不是為人，而是為耶和華。在審判的事上，他必與你們同在。現在，你們應當敬畏耶和華，謹慎辦事，因為耶和華－我們的上帝沒有不義，不看人的情面，也不受賄賂。」

那當毀滅的物一點都不可黏你的手，好讓耶和華轉回，不向你發烈怒，卻恩待你，憐憫你，照他向你列祖所起的誓使你人數增多；

但他有憐憫，赦免他們的罪孽，沒有滅絕他們，而且屢次撤銷他的怒氣，不發盡他的憤怒。

在那日，你要說：「耶和華啊，我要稱謝你！因為你雖然向我發怒，你的怒氣卻已轉消；你又安慰了我。

他登了國度的王位之後，要在利未家的祭司面前，將這律法書為自己抄寫一份在書卷上。這書要存在他那裏，他一生的年日要誦讀，好使他學習敬畏耶和華－他的上帝，謹守遵行這律法書上的一切話和這些律例，

去見利未家的祭司和當時的審判官，求問他們，他們必將判決指示你。

眾人在亞干身上堆了一大堆石頭，直存到今日。於是耶和華轉意，不發他的烈怒。因此，那地方名叫亞割谷，直到今日。
