不要效法这个世界，只要心意更新而变化，叫你们察验何为上帝的善良、纯全、可喜悦的旨意。

不可与他们结亲；不可将你的女儿嫁给他的儿子，也不可叫你的儿子娶他的女儿。因为他必使你的儿女离弃我，去事奉别神，以致耶和华的怒气向你们发作，迅速将你除灭。

约书亚对亚干说：“我儿，我劝你将荣耀归给耶和华—以色列的上帝，在他面前认罪，把你所做的事告诉我，不可向我隐瞒。”

现在，我们要与我们的上帝立约，送走所有的妻子和她们所生的，照着主和那些因我们上帝诫命战兢之人所议定的，按律法去行。

遮掩自己过犯的，必不顺利；承认且离弃过犯的，必蒙怜悯。

所以主说：“你们务要从他们中间出来，跟他们分别；不要沾不洁净的东西，我就收纳你们。

我向你陈明我的罪，不隐瞒我的恶。我说：“我要向耶和华承认我的过犯”；你就赦免我的罪恶。（细拉）

我们若在光明中行走，如同上帝在光明中，就彼此有团契，他儿子耶稣的血就洗净我们一切的罪。我们若说自己没有罪，就是欺骗自己，真理就不在我们里面了。我们若认自己的罪，上帝是信实的，是公义的，必要赦免我们的罪，洗净我们一切的不义。

你们要洗涤、自洁，从我眼前除掉恶行；要停止作恶，学习行善，寻求公平，帮助受欺压的，替孤儿伸冤，为寡妇辩护。”耶和华说：“来吧，我们彼此辩论。你们的罪虽像朱红，必变成雪白；虽红如丹颜，必白如羊毛。

只要承认你的罪孽，就是违背耶和华—你的上帝，在各青翠的树下追逐外族的神明，没有听从我的话。这是耶和华说的。

我们所领受的并不是世上的灵，而是从上帝来的灵，为使我们知道上帝把恩赐赏给我们的事。我们也讲说这些事，不是用人的智慧所教的言语，而是用圣灵所教的言语，用属灵的话解释属灵的事。然而，属血气的人不接受上帝的灵的事，他反倒以这为愚拙，并且他不能了解，因为这些事惟有属灵的人才能领悟。

在各样善事上装备你们，使你们遵行他的旨意；又藉着耶稣基督在我们里面行他所喜悦的事。愿荣耀归给他，直到永永远远。阿们！

这些事完成以后，众领袖来接近我，说：“以色列百姓、祭司和利未人没有弃绝迦南人、赫人、比利洗人、耶布斯人、亚扪人、摩押人、埃及人和亚摩利人等列邦民族所行可憎的事。

因为耶和华如此说：“那些谨守我的安息日，选择我旨意，持守我约的太监，

“他们要承认自己的罪孽和祖先的罪孽，就是背叛我，行事与我作对的过犯。我也行事与他们作对，把他们遣送到敌人之地。那时，他们未受割礼的心若肯谦卑，也服了罪孽的惩罚，我就要记念我与雅各的约，记念我与以撒的约，与亚伯拉罕的约；我也要记念这地。

好使你们行事为人对得起主，凡事蒙他喜悦，在一切善事上结果子，对上帝的认识更有长进。

以色列人听见这律法，就与所有不同族群的人分别出来。
