今當於主爾列祖之天主前認罪、遵其旨而行、絕離斯土各族、與所娶異族之女、

Now honor the Lord, the God of your ancestors, and do his will. Separate yourselves from the peoples around you and from your foreign wives.”

不要效法這個世界，只要心意更新而變化，叫你們察驗何為神的善良、純全、可喜悅的旨意。

不可與他們結親。不可將你的女兒嫁他們的兒子，也不可叫你的兒子娶他們的女兒；因為他必使你兒子轉離不跟從主，去事奉別神，以致耶和華的怒氣向你們發作，就速速地將你們滅絕。

約書亞對亞干說：「我兒，我勸你將榮耀歸給耶和華－以色列的神，在他面前認罪，將你所做的事告訴我，不要向我隱瞞。」

現在當與我們的神立約，休這一切的妻，離絕她們所生的，照着我主和那因神命令戰兢之人所議定的，按律法而行。

遮掩自己罪過的，必不亨通；承認離棄罪過的，必蒙憐恤。

又說：你們務要從他們中間出來，與他們分別；不要沾不潔淨的物，我就收納你們。

我向你陳明我的罪，不隱瞞我的惡。我說：我要向耶和華承認我的過犯，你就赦免我的罪惡。（細拉）

我們若在光明中行，如同神在光明中，就彼此相交，他兒子耶穌的血也洗淨我們一切的罪。我們若說自己無罪，便是自欺，真理不在我們心裏了。我們若認自己的罪，神是信實的，是公義的，必要赦免我們的罪，洗淨我們一切的不義。

你們要洗濯、自潔，從我眼前除掉你們的惡行，要止住作惡，學習行善，尋求公平，解救受欺壓的；給孤兒伸冤，為寡婦辨屈。耶和華說：你們來，我們彼此辯論。你們的罪雖像硃紅，必變成雪白；雖紅如丹顏，必白如羊毛。

只要承認你的罪孽，就是你違背耶和華－你的神，在各青翠樹下向別神東奔西跑，沒有聽從我的話。這是耶和華說的。

我們所領受的，並不是世上的靈，乃是從神來的靈，叫我們能知道神開恩賜給我們的事。並且我們講說這些事，不是用人智慧所指教的言語，乃是用聖靈所指教的言語，將屬靈的話解釋屬靈的事。然而，屬血氣的人不領會神聖靈的事，反倒以為愚拙，並且不能知道，因為這些事惟有屬靈的人才能看透。

在各樣善事上成全你們，叫你們遵行他的旨意；又藉着耶穌基督在你們心裏行他所喜悅的事。願榮耀歸給他，直到永永遠遠。阿們！

這事做完了，眾首領來見我，說：「以色列民和祭司並利未人，沒有離絕迦南人、赫人、比利洗人、耶布斯人、亞捫人、摩押人、埃及人、亞摩利人，仍效法這些國的民，行可憎的事。

因為耶和華如此說：那些謹守我的安息日，揀選我所喜悅的事，持守我約的太監，

「他們要承認自己的罪和他們祖宗的罪，就是干犯我的那罪，並且承認自己行事與我反對，我所以行事與他們反對，把他們帶到仇敵之地。那時，他們未受割禮的心若謙卑了，他們也服了罪孽的刑罰，我就要記念我與雅各所立的約，與以撒所立的約，與亞伯拉罕所立的約，並要記念這地。

好叫你們行事為人對得起主，凡事蒙他喜悅，在一切善事上結果子，漸漸地多知道神；

以色列民聽見這律法，就與一切閒雜人絕交。
