Now honor the Lord, the God of your ancestors, and do his will. Separate yourselves from the peoples around you and from your foreign wives.”

不要模仿這個世代，倒要藉著心意的更新而改變過來，使你們可以察驗出甚麼是神的旨意，就是察驗出甚麼是美好的、蒙他悅納的和完全的事。

不可與他們通婚，不可把你的女兒嫁給他們的兒子，也不可為你的兒子娶他們的女兒。因為他必使你的兒子離開我，去事奉別的神，以致耶和華向你們發烈怒，就快快地把你們消滅。

約書亞對亞干說：“我兒，我勸你把榮耀歸給耶和華以色列的神，向他認罪，告訴我你作了甚麼事，不可向我隱瞞。”

現在，我們應當與我們的神立約，按著我主和那些因我們神的誡命而戰兢的人所議定的，照著律法而行，送走這些妻子和她們所生的兒女。

遮掩自己過犯的，必不亨通；承認並離棄過犯的，必蒙憐憫。

所以，“主說：你們要從他們中間出來，和他們分開，不可觸摸不潔淨的東西，我就收納你們。”

我向你承認我的罪，沒有隱藏我的罪孽；我說：“我要向耶和華承認我的過犯”；你就赦免我的罪孽。（細拉）

我們若行在光中，像他在光中一樣，就彼此相通，他兒子耶穌的血也潔淨我們脫離一切罪。我們若說自己沒有罪，就是自欺，真理就不在我們裡面了。我們若承認自己的罪，神是信實的、公義的，必定赦免我們的罪，潔淨我們脫離一切不義。

你們要洗滌自己，潔淨自己；從我眼前除掉你們的惡行；要停止作惡，學習行善，尋求公平，指責殘暴的人，替孤兒伸冤，為寡婦辨屈。”耶和華說：“你們來，我們彼此辯論；你們的罪雖像硃紅，必變成雪白；雖紅如丹顏，必白如羊毛。

‘只要你承認自己的罪孽，就是悖逆了耶和華你的神，在每棵繁茂的樹下，濫愛外族人的神，沒有聽從我的話。’這是耶和華的宣告。

我們所領受的，不是這世界的靈，而是從神來的靈，使我們能知道神開恩賜給我們的事。我們也講這些事，不是用人的智慧所教的言語，而是用聖靈所教的言語，向屬靈的人解釋屬靈的事（“向屬靈的人解釋屬靈的事”或譯：“用屬靈的話解釋屬靈的事”）。然而屬血氣的人不接受神的靈的事，因為他以為是愚笨的；而且他也不能夠明白，因為這些事，要有屬靈的眼光才能領悟。

在一切善事上成全你們，好使你們遵行他的旨意；又藉著耶穌基督在我們裡面，行他所喜悅的事。願榮耀歸給他，直到永永遠遠。阿們。

“完成這些事以後，眾領袖前來見我，說：‘以色列民、祭司和利未人沒有從當地的民族中分別出來，他們隨從迦南人、赫人、比利洗人、耶布斯人、亞捫人、摩押人、埃及人和亞摩利人行可憎的事。

因為耶和華這樣說：“那些謹守我的安息日，揀選我所喜悅的事，持守我的約、被閹割了的人，

“那時他們就會承認自己的罪孽和他們祖先的罪孽，就是他們對我不忠的過犯，又承認因為行事與我的心意相違，以致我也與他們作對，把他們帶到他們的仇敵之地。如果他們未受割禮的心這樣謙卑下來，情願接受他們罪孽的刑罰，我就記念我與雅各所立的約，記念我與以撒所立的約，與亞伯拉罕所立的約；我也記念這地。

使你們行事為人對得起主，凡事蒙他喜悅；在一切善事上多結果子，更加認識神；

眾民聽見了這律法，就跟一切閒雜人分離。
