對他說：『你去走遍城中、耶路撒冷中間，在那些為了城中所行可厭惡的事而歎息唉哼的人額上畫個刀字的記號。』

諭之曰、巡耶路撒冷城、凡緣邑中所行可惡之事、欷歔哭泣者、則印誌於其顙、

主諭之曰、爾巡行耶路撒冷邑中、凡因邑中所行可憎之事、嗟嘆欷歔者、則畫號於其額上、

and said to him,“ Go throughout the city of Jerusalem and put a mark on the foreheads of those who grieve and lament over all the detestable things that are done in it.”

The Lord said to him,“ Go all through Jerusalem. Look for those who are sad and sorry about all the things being done there. I hate those things. Put a mark on the foreheads of those people.”

And the Lord said to him,“ Pass through the city, through Jerusalem, and put a mark on the foreheads of the men who sigh and groan over all the abominations that are committed in it.”

He said to him,“ Walk through the streets of Jerusalem and put a mark on the foreheads of all who weep and sigh because of the detestable sins being committed in their city.”

“ Pass throughout the city of Jerusalem,” the LORD said to him,“ and put a mark on the foreheads of the men who sigh and groan over all the detestable practices committed in it.”

And the Lord said to him,“ Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and make a mark on the foreheads of the people who groan and sigh over all the abominations which are being committed in its midst.”

Yahweh said to him,“ Go through the middle of the city, through the middle of Jerusalem, and set a mark on the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry over all the abominations that are done within it.”

set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. (niv)

They were told not to harm the grass of the earth or any plant or tree, but only those people who did not have the seal of God on their foreheads. (niv)

Then I looked, and there before me was the Lamb, standing on Mount Zion, and with him 144,000 who had his name and his Father’s name written on their foreheads. (niv)

Then I saw another angel coming up from the east, having the seal of the living God. He called out in a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm the land and the sea:“ Do not harm the land or the sea or the trees until we put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God.” (niv)

I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years. (niv)

If you do not listen, I will weep in secret because of your pride; my eyes will weep bitterly, overflowing with tears, because the Lord’s flock will be taken captive. (niv)

Streams of tears flow from my eyes, for your law is not obeyed. (niv)

Indignation grips me because of the wicked, who have forsaken your law. (niv)

Then they are to take some of the blood and put it on the sides and tops of the doorframes of the houses where they eat the lambs. (niv)

The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are, and when I see the blood, I will pass over you. No destructive plague will touch you when I strike Egypt. (niv)

Nevertheless, God’s solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription:“ The Lord knows those who are his,” and,“ Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness.” (niv)

It opened its mouth to blaspheme God, and to slander his name and his dwelling place and those who live in heaven.It was given power to wage war against God’s holy people and to conquer them. And it was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation. (niv)

And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. (niv)

( for that righteous man, living among them day after day, was tormented in his righteous soul by the lawless deeds he saw and heard)—if this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials and to hold the unrighteous for punishment on the day of judgment. (niv)

“‘ This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Strike your hands together and stamp your feet and cry out“ Alas!” because of all the wicked and detestable practices of the people of Israel, for they will fall by the sword, famine and plague. (niv)

For this is what the high and exalted One says— he who lives forever, whose name is holy:“ I live in a high and holy place, but also with the one who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite. (niv)

I am afraid that when I come again my God will humble me before you, and I will be grieved over many who have sinned earlier and have not repented of the impurity, sexual sin and debauchery in which they have indulged. (niv)

Then those who feared the Lord talked with each other, and the Lord listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in his presence concerning those who feared the Lord and honored his name. (niv)

“ Therefore groan, son of man! Groan before them with broken heart and bitter grief. (niv)

Because your heart was responsive and you humbled yourself before the Lord when you heard what I have spoken against this place and its people— that they would become a curse and be laid waste— and because you tore your robes and wept in my presence, I also have heard you, declares the Lord.Therefore I will gather you to your ancestors, and you will be buried in peace. Your eyes will not see all the disaster I am going to bring on this place.’” So they took her answer back to the king. (niv)

“ Go and inquire of the Lord for me and for the people and for all Judah about what is written in this book that has been found. Great is the Lord’s anger that burns against us because those who have gone before us have not obeyed the words of this book; they have not acted in accordance with all that is written there concerning us.” (niv)
