And suddenly six men came from the direction of the upper gate, which faces north, each with his battle-ax in his hand. One man among them was clothed with linen and had a writer’s inkhorn at his side. They went in and stood beside the bronze altar.

則見有六人、自北向之上門、各執誅戮之器而至、中有一人、衣枲衣、腰墨角、咸入、立於銅壇之側、

有六人至、自北之崇門、各執殺人利器、中有一人、身衣枲衣、腰懸墨盂、咸入殿中、立於銅臺之側。

And I saw six men coming from the direction of the upper gate, which faces north, each with a deadly weapon in his hand. With them was a man clothed in linen who had a writing kit at his side. They came in and stood beside the bronze altar.

Six men soon appeared from the upper gate that faces north, each carrying a deadly weapon in his hand. With them was a man dressed in linen, who carried a writer’s case at his side. They all went into the Temple courtyard and stood beside the bronze altar.

And I saw six men coming from the direction of the Upper Gate, which faces north, each with a war club in his hand. There was another man among them, clothed in linen, carrying writing equipment. They came and stood beside the bronze altar.

And, behold, six men came from the way of the higher gate, which lieth toward the north, and every man a slaughter weapon in his hand; and one man among them[ was] clothed with linen, with a writer’s inkhorn by his side: and they went in, and stood beside the brasen altar.

Next, I noticed six men coming from the direction of the upper gate which faces north, each with his war club in his hand. Among them was a man dressed in linen with a writing kit at his side. They came and stood beside the bronze altar.

Behold, six men came from the way of the upper gate, which lies toward the north, every man with his slaughter weapon in his hand. One man in the middle of them was clothed in linen, with a writer’s inkhorn by his side. They went in, and stood beside the bronze altar.

Then He spoke to the man clothed with linen, and said,“ Go in among the wheels, under the cherub, fill your hands with coals of fire from among the cherubim, and scatter them over the city.” And he went in as I watched.

He shall put the holy linen tunic and the linen trousers on his body; he shall be girded with a linen sash, and with the linen turban he shall be attired. These are holy garments. Therefore he shall wash his body in water, and put them on.

However the high places were not removed; the people still sacrificed and burned incense on the high places. He built the Upper Gate of the house of the Lord.

Then it happened, when He commanded the man clothed in linen, saying,“ Take fire from among the wheels, from among the cherubim,” that he went in and stood beside the wheels.And the cherub stretched out his hand from among the cherubim to the fire that was among the cherubim, and took some of it and put it into the hands of the man clothed with linen, who took it and went out.

And out of the temple came the seven angels having the seven plagues, clothed in pure bright linen, and having their chests girded with golden bands.

The snorting of His horses was heard from Dan. The whole land trembled at the sound of the neighing of His strong ones; For they have come and devoured the land and all that is in it, The city and those who dwell in it.”“ For behold, I will send serpents among you, Vipers which cannot be charmed, And they shall bite you,” says the Lord.

When the princes of Judah heard these things, they came up from the king’s house to the house of the Lord and sat down in the entry of the New Gate of the LORD’s house.

He built the Upper Gate of the house of the Lord, and he built extensively on the wall of Ophel.

Moreover he made a bronze altar: twenty cubits was its length, twenty cubits its width, and ten cubits its height.

For behold, I am calling All the families of the kingdoms of the north,” says the Lord;“ They shall come and each one set his throne At the entrance of the gates of Jerusalem, Against all its walls all around, And against all the cities of Judah.

“ You shall make an altar of acacia wood, five cubits long and five cubits wide— the altar shall be square— and its height shall be three cubits.You shall make its horns on its four corners; its horns shall be of one piece with it. And you shall overlay it with bronze.Also you shall make its pans to receive its ashes, and its shovels and its basins and its forks and its firepans; you shall make all its utensils of bronze.You shall make a grate for it, a network of bronze; and on the network you shall make four bronze rings at its four corners.You shall put it under the rim of the altar beneath, that the network may be midway up the altar.And you shall make poles for the altar, poles of acacia wood, and overlay them with bronze.The poles shall be put in the rings, and the poles shall be on the two sides of the altar to bear it.

Behold, I will bring a nation against you from afar, O house of Israel,” says the Lord.“ It is a mighty nation, It is an ancient nation, A nation whose language you do not know, Nor can you understand what they say.Their quiver is like an open tomb; They are all mighty men.And they shall eat up your harvest and your bread, Which your sons and daughters should eat. They shall eat up your flocks and your herds; They shall eat up your vines and your fig trees; They shall destroy your fortified cities, In which you trust, with the sword.

behold, I will send and take all the families of the north,’ says the Lord,‘ and Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, My servant, and will bring them against this land, against its inhabitants, and against these nations all around, and will utterly destroy them, and make them an astonishment, a hissing, and perpetual desolations.

And he put the altar of burnt offering before the door of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting, and offered upon it the burnt offering and the grain offering, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
