And he put forth the form of an hand, and took me by a lock of mine head; and the spirit lifted me up between the earth and the heaven, and brought me in the visions of God to Jerusalem, to the door of the inner gate that looketh toward the north; where[ was] the seat of the image of jealousy, which provoketh to jealousy.

He stretched out what looked like a hand and took me by the hair of my head. The Spirit lifted me up between earth and heaven and in visions of God he took me to Jerusalem, to the entrance of the north gate of the inner court, where the idol that provokes to jealousy stood.

Moreover the spirit lifted me up, and brought me unto the east gate of the LORD’S house, which looketh eastward: and behold at the door of the gate five and twenty men; among whom I saw Jaazaniah the son of Azur, and Pelatiah the son of Benaiah, princes of the people.

Wherefore,[ as] I live, saith the Lord GOD; Surely, because thou hast defiled my sanctuary with all thy detestable things, and with all thine abominations, therefore will I also diminish[ thee]; neither shall mine eye spare, neither will I have any pity.

In the visions of God brought he me into the land of Israel, and set me upon a very high mountain, by which[ was] as the frame of a city on the south.

Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God[ am] a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth[ generation] of them that hate me;

In the same hour came forth fingers of a man’s hand, and wrote over against the candlestick upon the plaister of the wall of the king’s palace: and the king saw the part of the hand that wrote.

Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God[ am] a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth[ generation] of them that hate me,

( For the LORD thy God[ is] a jealous God among you) lest the anger of the LORD thy God be kindled against thee, and destroy thee from off the face of the earth.

For the LORD thy God[ is] a consuming fire,[ even] a jealous God.

They have moved me to jealousy with[ that which is] not God; they have provoked me to anger with their vanities: and I will move them to jealousy with[ those which are] not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.

Afterwards the spirit took me up, and brought me in a vision by the Spirit of God into Chaldea, to them of the captivity. So the vision that I had seen went up from me.

And when I looked, behold, an hand[ was] sent unto me; and, lo, a roll of a book[ was] therein;

I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago,( whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven.And I knew such a man,( whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;)How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.

And, behold, an hand touched me, which set me upon my knees and[ upon] the palms of my hands.

Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table, and of the table of devils.Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he?

And Joshua said unto the people, Ye cannot serve the LORD: for he[ is] an holy God; he[ is] a jealous God; he will not forgive your transgressions nor your sins.

And he brought also the brasen altar, which[ was] before the LORD, from the forefront of the house, from between the altar and the house of the LORD, and put it on the north side of the altar.

And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.

Then said he unto me, Son of man, lift up thine eyes now the way toward the north. So I lifted up mine eyes the way toward the north, and behold northward at the gate of the altar this image of jealousy in the entry.

Then there came again and touched me[ one] like the appearance of a man, and he strengthened me,

As for the beauty of his ornament, he set it in majesty: but they made the images of their abominations[ and] of their detestable things therein: therefore have I set it far from them.

And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and[ one] sat on the throne.And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and[ there was] a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.And round about the throne[ were] four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and[ there were] seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.And before the throne[ there was] a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne,[ were] four beasts full of eyes before and behind.And the first beast[ was] like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast[ was] like a flying eagle.And the four beasts had each of them six wings about[ him]; and[ they were] full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever,The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

For the children of Judah have done evil in my sight, saith the LORD: they have set their abominations in the house which is called by my name, to pollute it.

And it shall come to pass,[ as soon as] I am gone from thee, that the Spirit of the LORD shall carry thee whither I know not; and[ so] when I come and tell Ahab, and he cannot find thee, he shall slay me: but I thy servant fear the LORD from my youth.

So the spirit lifted me up, and took me away, and I went in bitterness, in the heat of my spirit; but the hand of the LORD was strong upon me.

For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name[ is] Jealous,[ is] a jealous God:

For they provoked him to anger with their high places, and moved him to jealousy with their graven images.

But they set their abominations in the house, which is called by my name, to defile it.

Then the spirit took me up, and I heard behind me a voice of a great rushing,[ saying], Blessed[ be] the glory of the LORD from his place.

And he set a graven image of the grove that he had made in the house, of which the LORD said to David, and to Solomon his son, In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all tribes of Israel, will I put my name for ever:

I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send[ it] unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks;And in the midst of the seven candlesticks[ one] like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.His head and[ his] hairs[ were] white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes[ were] as a flame of fire;And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance[ was] as the sun shineth in his strength.And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:I[ am] he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.
