So I went in and saw, and there— every sort of creeping thing, abominable beasts, and all the idols of the house of Israel, portrayed all around on the walls.

我入而觀、見有各類昆蟲、與可惡之獸、及以色列家諸偶像、繪於四壁、

予入而觀之、有不潔之獸、昆蟲之狀、及以色列族所拜諸偶像、繪於壁四周、

So I went in and looked, and I saw portrayed all over the walls all kinds of crawling things and unclean animals and all the idols of Israel.

So I went in and looked. All over the walls were pictures of all kinds of crawling things and“ unclean” animals. The Lord hates it when people worship those things. There were also carvings of the gods of the people of Israel.

So I went in and saw. And there, engraved on the wall all around, was every form of creeping things and loathsome beasts, and all the idols of the house of Israel.

So I went in and saw the walls covered with engravings of all kinds of crawling animals and detestable creatures. I also saw the various idols worshiped by the people of Israel.

I went in and looked, and there engraved all around the wall was every kind of abhorrent thing— crawling creatures and beasts— as well as all the idols of the house of Israel.

So I entered and looked, and behold, every form of crawling things and animals and detestable things, with all the idols of the house of Israel, were carved on the wall all around.

So I went in and saw; and behold, every form of creeping things, and abominable beasts, and all the idols of the house of Israel, portrayed upon the wall round about.

I went in and looked, and there engraved all around the wall was every form of detestable thing, crawling creatures and beasts, as well as all the idols of the house of Israel.

“ You shall not make for yourself a carved image— any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth;

and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man— and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.

And first I will repay double for their iniquity and their sin, because they have defiled My land; they have filled My inheritance with the carcasses of their detestable and abominable idols.”

“ You shall not eat any detestable thing.

‘ These also shall be unclean to you among the creeping things that creep on the earth: the mole, the mouse, and the large lizard after its kind;the gecko, the monitor lizard, the sand reptile, the sand lizard, and the chameleon.These are unclean to you among all that creep. Whoever touches them when they are dead shall be unclean until evening.

Nevertheless, of those that chew the cud or have cloven hooves, you shall not eat, such as these: the camel, the hare, and the rock hyrax; for they chew the cud but do not have cloven hooves; they are unclean for you.Also the swine is unclean for you, because it has cloven hooves, yet does not chew the cud; you shall not eat their flesh or touch their dead carcasses.

the likeness of anything that creeps on the ground or the likeness of any fish that is in the water beneath the earth.

“ As the thief is ashamed when he is found out, So is the house of Israel ashamed; They and their kings and their princes, and their priests and their prophets,Saying to a tree,‘ You are my father,’ And to a stone,‘ You gave birth to me.’ For they have turned their back to Me, and not their face. But in the time of their trouble They will say,‘ Arise and save us.’

Whatever crawls on its belly, whatever goes on all fours, or whatever has many feet among all creeping things that creep on the earth— these you shall not eat, for they are an abomination.You shall not make yourselves abominable with any creeping thing that creeps; nor shall you make yourselves unclean with them, lest you be defiled by them.For I am the Lord your God. You shall therefore consecrate yourselves, and you shall be holy; for I am holy. Neither shall you defile yourselves with any creeping thing that creeps on the earth.

But all in the seas or in the rivers that do not have fins and scales, all that move in the water or any living thing which is in the water, they are an abomination to you.They shall be an abomination to you; you shall not eat their flesh, but you shall regard their carcasses as an abomination.Whatever in the water does not have fins or scales— that shall be an abomination to you.

Among the smooth stones of the stream Is your portion; They, they, are your lot! Even to them you have poured a drink offering, You have offered a grain offering. Should I receive comfort in these?“ On a lofty and high mountain You have set your bed; Even there you went up To offer sacrifice.Also behind the doors and their posts You have set up your remembrance; For you have uncovered yourself to those other than Me, And have gone up to them; You have enlarged your bed And made a covenant with them; You have loved their bed, Where you saw their nudity.You went to the king with ointment, And increased your perfumes; You sent your messengers far off, And even descended to Sheol.You are wearied in the length of your way; Yet you did not say,‘ There is no hope.’ You have found the life of your hand; Therefore you were not grieved.

So it came to pass, through her casual harlotry, that she defiled the land and committed adultery with stones and trees.
