So I went in and looked, and I saw portrayed all over the walls all kinds of crawling things and unclean animals and all the idols of Israel.

「不可為自己雕刻神像，不可仿照任何飛禽走獸或水族的樣子造神像，

爬蟲或魚類。

「以色列人啊，你們和你們的君王、官長、祭司和先知必蒙羞，如同被擒的盜賊。你們認木頭為父，認石頭為母。你們不是面向我而是背對我，危難時卻向我求救。

你們不可吃用肚子、四腳或多腳爬行的動物，這些都是可憎的。你們不可讓這些動物玷污自己，使自己不潔淨。我是你們的上帝耶和華。你們要分別出來做聖潔的人，因為我是聖潔的。你們不可讓地上的爬蟲玷污自己。

但海洋與河流裡無鰭無鱗的動物，你們要憎惡。牠們都是可憎之物，不可吃牠們的肉，也不可摸牠們的屍體。水中任何無鰭無鱗的動物，你們都要視為可憎之物。

你們把谷中光滑的石頭當神明敬奉，效忠於它們，向它們澆奠獻祭。我豈能容忍？你們在高山上淫亂、獻祭，在門後供奉神像。你們背棄我，脫衣上床跟它們肆意苟合，與它們立約，迷戀它們的床，愛看它們的淫態。你們帶著橄欖油和許多香料去拜假神，差遣使者到遠方，甚至去陰間尋找神明。雖然遙遠的路途使你們疲倦，你們卻從不放棄。你們找到了新的力量，所以沒有暈倒。

以色列肆意淫亂，拜石頭木頭，玷污了土地。
