主耶和華曰、有禍將至、祗此而已、

耶和華又曰、患難絡繹以至。

主天主如是云、有災禍、即一大災禍至矣、

Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: An evil, an only evil; behold, it cometh.

“ The Lord Yahweh says:‘ An evil! A unique evil! Behold, it comes.

So this is what the LORD God of Israel says,‘ I am about to bring disaster on Jerusalem and Judah. The news will reverberate in the ears of those who hear about it.I will destroy Jerusalem the same way I did Samaria and the dynasty of Ahab. I will wipe Jerusalem clean, just as one wipes a plate on both sides.

I will do to you what I have never done before and will never do again because of all your abominable practices.

Whatever you plot against the LORD, he will completely destroy! Distress will not arise a second time.

For then there will be great suffering unlike anything that has happened from the beginning of the world until now, or ever will happen.

“ I have chosen you alone from all the clans of the earth. Therefore I will punish you for all your sins.”
