『但是你們、你們若轉離而撇棄我的律例誡命、就是我所擺在你們面前的，反而去服事敬拜別的神，那麼我就必將以色列人從我所賜給他們的土地上根拔出來，而我為我自己的名所分別為聖的這殿、我也必從我面前丟棄不顧，使它在萬族民中成為令人談笑令人譏刺的對象。

就是說：『我們來取得上帝的居所以為業』的。

「你要告訴以色列家說：主永恆主這麼說：看吧，我必使我的聖所、你們勢力所驕矜的、你們眼裏所喜愛的、你們心中所愛惜的、被褻瀆；你們留下的兒女必倒斃於刀下。

把他們交於外國人手裏，恨惡他們的人就管轄他們。

我們的產業轉歸外族人，我們的房屋歸與外籍民。

在野地裏一切無草木的高處上有毁滅者來到；因為永恆主的刀從地這邊到地那邊進行着吞滅之事呢；凡有血肉的沒有一個得平安。
