以金玉為飾、驕志頓生、遂用之以作可惡之像、故我使民棄之如遺、

They took pride in their beautiful jewelry and used it to make their detestable idols. They made it into vile images; therefore I will make it a thing unclean for them.

My people were so proud of their beautiful jewelry. They used it to make statues of their evil gods. I hate those gods. So I will turn their jewelry into an“ unclean” thing for them.

His beautiful ornament they used for pride, and they made their abominable images and their detestable things of it. Therefore I make it an unclean thing to them.

爾當告以色列家云、主耶和華曰、我之聖所、爾素以為榮、素所欣慕者、余必使之被玷、爾所遺之子女、必亡以刃。

耶和華曰、猶大子孫犯罪於我、置可惡之物於殿、使籲我名之所、咸染污衊、

昔有聖室、輝煌矞麗、我祖頌美之處、茲經焚燬、我所艷羨之區、今變荒蕪。

主謂我曰、人子、爾盍觀此、爾可更觀其所作、愈堪深疾、較此尤甚。遂導我入耶和華殿內院、我見門內廡下祭壇之間、有二十五人、背耶和華殿、東向拜日、

遂導我至院門、我見壁有隙、彼諭我曰、人子、宜鑿此壁、予鑿之、見一門。彼曰、爾入得見、彼眾在此、所作不端、深可疾焉。予入而觀之、有不潔之獸、昆蟲之狀、及以色列族所拜諸偶像、繪於壁四周、

主曰、殿中院內、誅戮人民、勿懼其玷、然後出殿、以殲邑眾。五人聽命。

眾祭司長與兆民、效尤異邦、多蹈罪愆、在耶路撒冷、耶和華之殿、業已肅清、復污衊之、

主怒郇邑、愁雲慘淡、以色列雖榮光焜耀、若躋穹蒼、必下墮於地兮、雖為駐蹕之所、亦所弗惜兮。

大闢王告會眾曰、我子所羅門、尚在弱齡、上帝特遴選之、工作甚鉅、蓋殿非為人也、乃為上帝耶和華。我為上帝之殿、竭其才力、預備金銀、銅鐵、材木、俱適其用、碧玉以飾服、又有光石、彩石、寶石、花石、不可悉數。

有數祭司、利未人、及族中最著者、耆年之士、曾見古昔之殿、今見人置斯殿基、大聲哭泣者有人、欣然歡呼者有人。

悅其邑門、愈於雅各諸家兮、上帝有命、將被榮光於其邑兮、

彼所欣慕者、敵人取之兮、主命異族不得與會、彼反入聖所、郇民目擊兮。

主耶和華又曰、我指己而誓、因爾以可惡之物玷我聖所、故我必使人民減少、不加矜憫。

主棄祭臺、遺聖所、以其殿宇、付於敵人兮、使彼兆民、號呼於耶和華殿、與大會之日無異兮、

所羅門建耶和華殿、在耶路撒冷邑、摩哩山、昔耶和華顯現於父大闢、在耶布士人亞勞拿穀場、大闢所備之所。所羅門四年、二月二日、始建斯殿。所羅門築上帝殿基、長六丈、廣二丈、循其古尺、殿前廡、廣與殿等、高十二丈、內飾兼金。大殿蓋以松木、飾以兼金、刻棗樹鐵索之狀、以寶石飾殿、金由巴瓦音所至、以金飾殿、及梁、柱、墻、門、墻上刻𠼻𡀔［口氷］像。又作至聖之所、廣與殿等、長廣俱二丈、以兼金九十萬兩為飾。金釘二十五兩、以金飾樓。在至聖之所、雕刻二𠼻𡀔［口氷］像、飾之以金。𠼻𡀔［口氷］計四翮、共長二丈、每翮長五尺、左𠼻𡀔［口氷］之翮、一及墻、一與右𠼻𡀔［口氷］之翮相接、右𠼻𡀔［口氷］之翮亦若是。

大君之邑、在郇山之北、形勢高峻、通國美之兮、

故我所錫爾祖、及爾之地、與斯殿為籲我名之所、爾所恃者、我必敗之、如昔敗示羅然。

美哉郇邑、上帝在彼、彰其榮光兮、

昔耶和華曰、耶路撒冷必為籲我名之所、永世勿替、而馬拿西在耶和華殿之二院築壇、奉事天象。

昔猶大列王、獻馬以奉日、畜於耶和華殿側、宦豎拿單米勒室旁之廊、約西亞去之、奉日之車、亦為其所燬。猶大列王、曾築祭壇、置於亞哈士樓巔、馬拿西亦築祭壇、置於耶和華殿二院中、皆為王所毀、傾其灰於汲淪溪濱。

於是備材甚多、所建之殿必巨。

昔耶和華曰、耶路撒冷必為籲我名之所、馬拿西築壇於其殿之二院、崇拜天象、

昔耶和華諭大闢、及其子所羅門曰、我於以色列支派諸邑中、簡耶路撒冷、創造殿宇、為籲我名之所、歷世勿替、如以色列族恪守我命、循我僕摩西所傳者、我不使之復行遷徙、離我所錫列祖之地、然上帝雖有是命、民不聽從、馬拿西作亞大綠像、置諸殿間、誘民作惡、較耶和華在以色列族中、所滅之異邦人尤甚。

爾中孰有人曾睹古昔之殿、儀容華煥者乎、今見斯殿、弗古若矣。

我亦遐棄斯民、使強暴者入我聖所、加以瀆玩。
