‘看哪！你叔叔沙龍的兒子哈拿篾必來見你，說：請你買下我在亞拿突的那塊田地，因為你有近親的權利和義務去買那田地。’我叔叔的兒子哈拿篾果然照著耶和華的話，到衛兵的院子裡來見我，對我說：‘請你買下我在便雅憫境內亞拿突的那塊田地，因為你有那產業的繼承權，以及近親的權利和義務；請你把它買下吧。’於是我知道這是耶和華的話。

你們也應當忍耐，堅定自己的心；因為主再來的日子近了。弟兄們，不要彼此抱怨，免得你們受審判。看哪，審判的主已經站在門前了。

弟兄們，我是說時候不多了。從今以後，有妻子的要像沒有妻子的，哀哭的要像不哀哭的，快樂的要像不快樂的，買了東西的要像一無所得的，享用世上百物的要像沒有享用的一樣，因為這世上的情況都要過去。

主耶和華這樣說：‘看哪，災禍，獨特的災禍，臨到了！終局到了，終局臨到了，它已經起來跟你作對。看哪，它臨到了！這地的居民哪，災害臨到你了！時候到了，日子近了，是混亂喧嚷的日子，不是山上歡呼的日子。

“‘看哪，這日子到了！災害已經發出，杖已經開花，狂傲已經發芽。

主耶和華這樣說：“你要拍手頓足，說：‘哀哉！因以色列家一切可憎的惡事，他們必倒在刀劍、饑荒、瘟疫之下。’在遠處的必因瘟疫死亡，在近處的必倒在刀劍之下，那餘下被圍困的也必因饑荒死亡。我必這樣在他們身上完全發盡我的烈怒。

看哪！敵人已經迫近，築壘攻取這城。這城要因刀劍、饑荒和瘟疫的緣故，交在攻擊他們的迦勒底人手中；你所說的都實現了，你也親眼看見了。但主耶和華啊！是你對我說：“你要用銀子買下那塊田地，請證人作證。”其實這城已經交在迦勒底人的手中了。’”

看哪！耶和華使大地空虛，變為荒涼；他必翻轉地面，使地上的居民四散。人民和祭司，僕人和主人，婢女和主母，購買的和販賣的，借給人和向人借的，放債的和借債的，全都一樣被分散。

賣的人雖然還活著，卻不能得回所賣的。因為這個關乎眾人的異象必不更改。因為罪孽的緣故，沒有人能保全自己的性命。“‘他們吹了號角，準備了一切，卻沒有人出去作戰；因為我的烈怒要臨到眾人身上。
