你们也应当忍耐，坚定自己的心；因为主再来的日子近了。弟兄们，不要彼此抱怨，免得你们受审判。看哪，审判的主已经站在门前了。

弟兄们，我是说时候不多了。从今以后，有妻子的要像没有妻子的，哀哭的要像不哀哭的，快乐的要像不快乐的，买了东西的要像一无所得的，享用世上百物的要像没有享用的一样，因为这世上的情况都要过去。

主耶和华这样说：‘看哪，灾祸，独特的灾祸，临到了！终局到了，终局临到了，它已经起来跟你作对。看哪，它临到了！这地的居民哪，灾害临到你了！时候到了，日子近了，是混乱喧嚷的日子，不是山上欢呼的日子。

“‘看哪，这日子到了！灾害已经发出，杖已经开花，狂傲已经发芽。

主耶和华这样说：“你要拍手顿足，说：‘哀哉！因以色列家一切可憎的恶事，他们必倒在刀剑、饥荒、瘟疫之下。’在远处的必因瘟疫死亡，在近处的必倒在刀剑之下，那余下被围困的也必因饥荒死亡。我必这样在他们身上完全发尽我的烈怒。

看哪！敌人已经迫近，筑垒攻取这城。这城要因刀剑、饥荒和瘟疫的缘故，交在攻击他们的迦勒底人手中；你所说的都实现了，你也亲眼看见了。但主耶和华啊！是你对我说：“你要用银子买下那块田地，请证人作证。”其实这城已经交在迦勒底人的手中了。’”

看哪！耶和华使大地空虚，变为荒凉；他必翻转地面，使地上的居民四散。人民和祭司，仆人和主人，婢女和主母，购买的和贩卖的，借给人和向人借的，放债的和借债的，全都一样被分散。

卖的人虽然还活着，却不能得回所卖的。因为这个关乎众人的异象必不更改。因为罪孽的缘故，没有人能保全自己的性命。“‘他们吹了号角，准备了一切，却没有人出去作战；因为我的烈怒要临到众人身上。
