主耶和華說：「你要拍手頓足地呼喊，『唉，以色列人有禍了！』他們的一切邪惡行為必使他們倒在刀劍、饑荒和瘟疫之下。遠處的必死於瘟疫，近處的必喪身刀下，其餘的必死於饑荒。我必把烈怒傾倒在他們身上。

看啊，敵人已經修築高臺要攻打這城，這城要因戰爭、饑荒和瘟疫而落入迦勒底人手中。你所說的都應驗了，你也看見了。主耶和華啊！雖然這城快要落入迦勒底人手中了，可是你還要讓我在證人面前買下這塊地。」

看啊，耶和華必摧毀大地，使大地荒涼。祂毀壞地面，驅散萬民。那時，祭司和百姓，主人和僕人，主母和婢女，買的和賣的，貸的和借的，債主和債戶都必同遭厄運。

即使賣主活著，也無法贖回他所賣的，因為關乎每一個人的異象必然應驗，他們因為犯罪一個也不能保存性命。「他們吹響了號角，做好了一切準備，卻無人出戰，因為我的烈怒臨到了所有的人。
