She has rebelled against my ordinances with more wickedness than the nations, and against my statutes more than the countries that surround her. For her people have rejected my ordinances and have not walked in my statutes.

我之律例法度、彼不遵從、而反作惡、較列邦尤甚、

彼背逆我之法度、作惡甚於列國、背逆我之律例、甚於四周之異邦、因棄我之法度、不遵我之律例、

Yet in her wickedness she has rebelled against my laws and decrees more than the nations and countries around her. She has rejected my laws and has not followed my decrees.

But its people are sinful. They have refused to obey my laws and rules. They have turned their backs on my laws. They have not followed my rules. These people are worse than the nations and countries around them.”

And she has rebelled against my rules by doing wickedness more than the nations, and against my statutes more than the countries all around her; for they have rejected my rules and have not walked in my statutes.

but she has rebelled against my regulations and decrees and has been even more wicked than the surrounding nations. She has refused to obey the regulations and decrees I gave her to follow.

But she has rebelled against My ordinances more wickedly than the nations, and against My statutes more than the lands which surround her; for they have rejected My ordinances and have not walked in My statutes.’

She has rebelled against My judgments by doing wickedness more than the nations, and against My statutes more than the countries that are all around her; for they have refused My judgments, and they have not walked in My statutes.’

And she hath changed my judgments into wickedness more than the nations, and my statutes more than the countries that[ are] round about her: for they have refused my judgments and my statutes, they have not walked in them.

Then she defied my regulations and my statutes, becoming more wicked than the nations and the countries around her. Indeed, they have rejected my regulations, and they do not follow my statutes.

She has rebelled against my ordinances in doing wickedness more than the nations, and against my statutes more than the countries that are around her; for they have rejected my ordinances, and as for my statutes, they have not walked in them.’

They have returned to the iniquities of their ancestors who refused to obey my words and have followed other gods to worship them. The house of Israel and the house of Judah broke my covenant I made with their ancestors.

But our ancestors acted arrogantly; they became stiff-necked and did not listen to your commands.They refused to listen and did not remember your wonders you performed among them. They became stiff-necked and appointed a leader to return to their slavery in Egypt. But you are a forgiving God, gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in faithful love, and you did not abandon them.

But they refused to pay attention and turned a stubborn shoulder; they closed their ears so they could not hear.

They lived according to the customs of the nations that the LORD had dispossessed before the Israelites and according to what the kings of Israel did.The Israelites secretly did things against the LORD their God that were not right. They built high places in all their towns from watchtower to fortified city.They set up for themselves sacred pillars and Asherah poles on every high hill and under every green tree.They burned incense there on all the high places just like the nations that the LORD had driven out before them had done. They did evil things, angering the LORD.They served idols, although the LORD had told them,“ You must not do this.”Still, the LORD warned Israel and Judah through every prophet and every seer, saying,“ Turn from your evil ways and keep my commands and statutes according to the whole law I commanded your ancestors and sent to you through my servants the prophets.”But they would not listen. Instead they became obstinate like their ancestors who did not believe the LORD their God.They rejected his statutes and his covenant he had made with their ancestors and the warnings he had given them. They followed worthless idols and became worthless themselves, following the surrounding nations the LORD had commanded them not to imitate.They abandoned all the commands of the LORD their God. They made cast images for themselves, two calves, and an Asherah pole. They bowed in worship to all the stars in the sky and served Baal.They sacrificed their sons and daughters in the fire and practiced divination and interpreted omens. They devoted themselves to do what was evil in the LORD’s sight and angered him.Therefore, the LORD was very angry with Israel, and he removed them from his presence. Only the tribe of Judah remained.Even Judah did not keep the commands of the LORD their God but lived according to the customs Israel had practiced.So the LORD rejected all the descendants of Israel, punished them, and handed them over to plunderers until he had banished them from his presence.

Didn’t you walk in their ways and do their detestable practices? It was only a short time before all your ways were more corrupt than theirs.“‘ As I live— the declaration of the Lord GOD— your sister Sodom and her daughters have not behaved as you and your daughters have.

Why have these people turned away? Why is Jerusalem always turning away? They take hold of deceit; they refuse to return.

They did not keep God’s covenant and refused to live by his law.

It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and the kind of sexual immorality that is not even tolerated among the Gentiles— a man is sleeping with his father’s wife.

They exchanged their glory for the image of a grass-eating ox.

For some people, who were designated for this judgment long ago, have come in by stealth; they are ungodly, turning the grace of our God into sensuality and denying Jesus Christ, our only Master and Lord.

LORD, don’t your eyes look for faithfulness? You have struck them, but they felt no pain. You finished them off, but they refused to accept discipline. They made their faces harder than rock, and they refused to return.

But Samaria did not commit even half your sins. You have multiplied your detestable practices beyond theirs and made your sisters appear righteous by all the detestable acts you have committed.

Then Jeshurun became fat and rebelled— you became fat, bloated, and gorged. He abandoned the God who made him and scorned the Rock of his salvation.They provoked his jealousy with different gods; they enraged him with detestable practices.They sacrificed to demons, not God, to gods they had not known, new gods that had just arrived, which your ancestors did not fear.You ignored the Rock who gave you birth; you forgot the God who gave birth to you.When the LORD saw this, he despised them, angered by his sons and daughters.He said,“ I will hide my face from them; I will see what will become of them, for they are a perverse generation— unfaithful children.They have provoked my jealousy with what is not a god; they have enraged me with their worthless idols. So I will provoke their jealousy with what is not a people; I will enrage them with a foolish nation.

and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man, birds, four-footed animals, and reptiles.Therefore God delivered them over in the desires of their hearts to sexual impurity, so that their bodies were degraded among themselves.They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served what has been created instead of the Creator, who is praised forever. Amen.

You live in a world of deception. In their deception they refuse to know me. This is the LORD’s declaration.
