When the days of your siege come to an end, burn a third of the hair inside the city. Take a third and strike it with the sword all around the city. And scatter a third to the wind. For I will pursue them with drawn sword.

Burn up a third of the hair inside the city. Do this when you stop attacking the model of Jerusalem. Next, get another third of the hair. Strike it with a sword all around the city. Then scatter the last third to the winds. That is because I will chase the people with a sword that is ready to strike them down.

『你呢、人子啊，你要拿一塊磚，擺在你面前，將一座城、耶路撒冷、畫在上頭。又立木柵圍困它，築壘倒土堆攻擊它，紮營攻打它，四圍設撞錘攻擊它。你要拿個鐵盤，放在你和城之間，作為鐵牆；將你的臉屹然不動地向着它，使城被圍困，而你堅持圍攻它。這要做以色列家的兆頭。『你要向左邊躺着，擔當以色列家的罪罰；要按你向左邊躺臥的日數擔當他們的罪罰。因為我已給你定了向左邊躺着的日數，以對抵他們受罪罰的年數，就是三百九十日；你要這樣擔當以色列家的罪罰。你躺滿了這些日子，還要躺着第二次，向右邊躺着，來擔當猶大家的罪罰；我給你定了四十日；一日頂一年，一日頂一年。你要將臉屹然不動地向着被圍困的耶路撒冷，膀臂露着傳神言攻擊這城。看吧，我必將粗繩子繫住你，使你不能從這邊翻轉過那邊，直到你滿了圍困這城的日子。

他們若問你說：「我們要出去到哪裏呢？」你便對他們說：「永恆主這麼說：『那該遭疫癘的，就遭疫癘；該被刀殺的、就被刀殺；該受饑荒的，就受饑荒；該被擄的，就被擄。』」』

因為死亡上來，進了我們的窗戶，入了我們的宮堡，要從街上剪除孩童，從廣場上剪掉青年。人的屍體必仆倒像糞土在田野上面，又像收割人所躐下的成行禾捆，無人收取。

『即使他們挖到了陰間，就是從那裏、我的手也必把他們捉出來；即使他們爬上天去，就是從那裏、我也必將他們拿下來。即使他們藏在迦密山頂，就是從那裏、我也必搜尋去捉出來；即使他們隱藏在海底、離開我眼前，就是從那裏、我也必吩咐蛇去咬他們。

我必打發刀劍、饑荒、瘟疫、來擊打他們，直到他們從我所賜給他們和他們列祖的土地上都滅絕了。』

『永恆主這麼說：住在這城裏的、必因刀劍、饑荒、瘟疫而死；但出去歸降迦勒底人的、必得活着；必掠得自己的性命而活着。
