A third of your people will die of the plague or perish by famine inside you; a third will fall by the sword outside your walls; and a third I will scatter to the winds and pursue with drawn sword.

A third of your people will die of the plague inside your walls. Or they will die of hunger there. Another third will be killed by swords outside your walls. And I will scatter the last third of your people to the winds. I will chase them with a sword that is ready to strike them down.

待城陷之日、必取髮三分之一、焚於邑中、以三分之一割之以刀、以三分之一散之四方、我亦襲之以刃、

如彼詰爾當往何處、爾必傳我命、告之曰、當死則死、當殺則殺、當饑則饑、當虜則虜。

彼之左右、爰及軍旅、我必散之於四方、襲之以白刃、

告之曰、萬有之主、以色列族之上帝耶和華云、我必使我僕、巴比倫王、尼布甲尼撒至此、置位張幕於藏石之所、既至、必擊埃及人、或亡於疾病、或戮於鋒刃、或被虜而去。

凡居斯邑者、必遇鋒刃饑饉、瘟疫而亡。凡出邑外、歸誠所攻爾之迦勒底人者、則得保其生命。

主耶和華謂先知曰、爾當敢掌頓足云、以色列族多行不義、深堪痛疾、必遇鋒刃、饑饉疫癘而亡、遠者必死於瘟疫、近者必死於鋒刃、所遺於邑中者必困苦難堪、死於饑饉、以雪我忿、

我降災於爾邑、使父子相食、遺民散於四方。

我意已定、降災爾躬、居埃及之猶大人、使戮於鋒刃、亡於饑饉、滅之殆盡、

在異邦中、爾不獲寧宇、亦無駐足之所、耶和華在彼使爾心慄目盲、衷懷不懌。

流離列國、此國乃其祖所未聞、彼所未知者、我仍手刃之、殲滅務盡、

雖為敵所擄、我必使刃殺之、我恆鑒察、爾惟加以災害、不加以福祉、

不第降以饑饉、亦使暴獸攘爾子女、又使瘟疫鋒刃、臨於爾邦、耶和華已言之矣。

必使爾於欲往居處之地、遇鋒刃、饑饉、疫癘而亡、爾當知之、無庸疑惑。

我散斯眾於列邦、至於素不識之地、使膏腴之壤、變為荒蕪、無人往來、遍境寂寞。

爾散於列邦、中有遺民、得脫鋒刃、我使之然。

萬有之主耶和華曰、惟爾鋒刃、勃然而興、擊我牧者、伐我同儔、牧者擊矣、群羊散矣、式微之子、我將加以眷顧、耶和華曰、斯土眾庶、三分之二、必遭殞亡、三分之一、猶可得生、我將使三分之一、若投於烈焰之中、煉之若銀、試之若金、彼籲於上、而我垂聽、稱彼為我民、彼必曰、耶和華乃我上帝。

我必散爾於異邦、襲爾以白刃、荒寂爾居、掃除爾邑。

則爾所懼之鋒刃饑饉、踵爾之後、在埃及遇之、令爾死亡。凡定志必往埃及、欲居於彼、必遇鋒刃、饑饉、癘疫、而亡、我既降災、必不得免、靡有孑遺。
