A third of your people will die of the plague or perish by famine inside you; a third will fall by the sword outside your walls; and a third I will scatter to the winds and pursue with drawn sword.

A third of your people will die of the plague inside your walls. Or they will die of hunger there. Another third will be killed by swords outside your walls. And I will scatter the last third of your people to the winds. I will chase them with a sword that is ready to strike them down.

A third part of you shall die of pestilence and be consumed with famine in your midst; a third part shall fall by the sword all around you; and a third part I will scatter to all the winds and will unsheathe the sword after them.

圍困這城的日子滿了，你要拿鬚髮的三分之一在城中用火燒掉，又拿三分之一在城的周圍用刀剁碎，三分之一撒在風中，我還要拔刀追趕它們。

如果他們問你：‘我們要去哪裡？’你就告訴他們：‘耶和華這樣說：該死亡的，就死亡；該被刀劍所殺的，就被刀劍所殺；該遭遇饑荒的，就遭遇饑荒；該被擄的，就被擄去！’

我要把他周圍所有的人，就是所有幫助他的和他所有的軍隊，分散到四方去，也要拔出刀來追趕他們。

然後對他們說：‘萬軍之耶和華以色列的神這樣說：看哪！我要派人去領我的僕人巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒來；我要在我所埋藏的這些石頭上安設他的王位；他必在上面張開他的帳篷。他必來攻打埃及地；那些注定死亡的，必要死亡；那些注定被擄的，必要被擄；那些注定被刀殺的，必被刀殺。

凡留在這城裡的，必因刀劍、饑荒、瘟疫而死；但出去向圍困你們的迦勒底人投降的，必可以活著，撿回自己的性命。

主耶和華這樣說：“你要拍手頓足，說：‘哀哉！因以色列家一切可憎的惡事，他們必倒在刀劍、饑荒、瘟疫之下。’在遠處的必因瘟疫死亡，在近處的必倒在刀劍之下，那餘下被圍困的也必因饑荒死亡。我必這樣在他們身上完全發盡我的烈怒。

因此，在你中間，父親要吃兒子，兒子要吃父親。我要向你施行審判，把你餘剩的眾人分散到四方去。

看哪！我要留意向他們降禍不降福；在埃及地所有的猶大人都必因刀劍和饑荒滅亡，直到滅絕。

在那些國中，你必不得安息，也沒有腳掌歇息的地方；耶和華卻必使你在那裡心中發顫，眼目憔悴，精神頹廢。

我要把他們分散在列國中，就是他們和他們的列祖都不認識的列國；我要使刀劍追殺他們，直到把他們滅絕。”

如果他們被仇敵擄去，就是在那裡，我必命令刀劍殺死他們；我必定睛在他們身上，降禍不降福。”

我要差遣饑荒和惡獸到你們那裡去，使你喪掉兒女；在你中間必到處發生瘟疫和流血的事；我也必使刀劍臨到你。這是我耶和華說的。”

現在你們要確實知道，在你們想去寄居的那地方，你們必因刀劍、饑荒和瘟疫而死。”

我用旋風把他們吹散到他們不認識的列國去，他們留下的地就荒涼了，以致無人來往經過，因為他們使這美好之地變為荒涼了。”

“‘但我要保留一些餘剩的人，你們分散在各地的時候，你們必有人在列國中從刀劍下逃出來。

“刀劍哪，醒來吧！攻擊我的牧人，我的同伴，（這是萬軍之耶和華的宣告。）要擊打牧人，羊群就分散；我也要轉過手來，攻擊小羊。全地的人必有三分之二被除滅，只有三分之一存留下來。（這是耶和華的宣告。）我必使這三分之一經火試煉。我要煉淨他們，像煉淨銀子一樣；我要試煉他們，像試煉金子一樣。他們必呼求我的名，我必應允他們。我要說：‘他們是我的子民。’他們也要說：‘耶和華是我們的神。’”

我要把你們分散在萬國中，我又拔出刀來追趕你們；你們的地成為荒涼，你們的城市變成荒場。

你們懼怕的刀劍必在埃及地追上你們；你們恐懼的饑荒必在埃及緊隨著你們；你們必死在那裡。所有決意去埃及，在那裡寄居的人，必因刀劍、饑荒和瘟疫而死；他們沒有一人能倖存，或避過我降在他們身上的災禍。’
