A third of your people will die of the plague or perish by famine inside you; a third will fall by the sword outside your walls; and a third I will scatter to the winds and pursue with drawn sword.

A third of your people will die of the plague inside your walls. Or they will die of hunger there. Another third will be killed by swords outside your walls. And I will scatter the last third of your people to the winds. I will chase them with a sword that is ready to strike them down.

A third part of you shall die of pestilence and be consumed with famine in your midst; a third part shall fall by the sword all around you; and a third part I will scatter to all the winds and will unsheathe the sword after them.

在你們中間，父親要吃自己的兒子，兒子要吃自己的父親。我必懲罰你們，把你們餘下的人分散到各地各方。」

看啊，我一定要給你們降下災禍而非祝福，使所有住在埃及的猶大人死於戰爭和饑荒。

你們在萬邦中將不得安寧，沒有落腳之地，耶和華必使你們膽戰心驚、目光呆滯、精神頹廢。

我要把他們分散到他們及其祖先都不認識的列國；我要使敵人追殺他們，直到滅絕他們。」

即使他們被敵人擄去，我也要命刀劍追殺他們。我要定睛在他們身上，不是要賜福而是要降禍。」

我必讓饑荒和猛獸來侵害你們，奪走你們的兒女，使你們飽受瘟疫、暴行和刀劍之災，這是我耶和華說的。」

因此，你們要清楚知道，你們如果決意去埃及住，必死於戰爭、饑荒和瘟疫。」

我要用旋風把他們吹散到陌生的萬國中，使他們的土地荒涼、杳無人跡，因為他們使美好的土地一片荒涼。』」

「『不過，我必為你們留下一些人，使他們脫離刀劍之災，四散到各國。

萬軍之耶和華說：「刀劍啊，醒來吧，要攻擊我的牧人和同伴，要擊打牧人，羊群將四散，我必出手攻擊小羊。地上三分之二的人必遭剷除、毀滅，只剩下三分之一的人存活。這是耶和華說的。我必使這三分之一的人受到火一般的考驗；我必像熬煉銀子一樣熬煉他們，像試煉金子一樣試煉他們。他們必呼求我的名，我必回應他們。我必說，『這是我的子民。』他們必說，『耶和華是我們的上帝。』」

我要把你們驅散到各國，還要拔刀追殺你們。你們的土地將荒廢，城邑將淪為廢墟。

你們所害怕的戰爭和饑荒必緊緊地跟著你們。你們必死在埃及。凡決意去埃及住的人必要死於戰爭、饑荒和瘟疫，無人能逃脫我降的災禍。』
