“ Therefore, as I live”— this is the declaration of the Lord GOD—“ I will withdraw and show you no pity, because you have defiled my sanctuary with all your abhorrent acts and detestable practices. Yes, I will not spare you.

主耶和华说：“因为你们用一切可憎的偶像和恶行玷污我的圣所，我凭我的永恒起誓，我必毫不留情地铲除你们。

故此主永恆主發神諭說：我指着永活的我來起誓，你既用你一切可憎之像和你一切可厭惡的事來污瀆我的聖所，我就一定要將你剪除；我眼必不顧惜你，我必不可憐你。

主耶和華曰、我指己生而誓、因爾以可憎之事、可惡之物、玷我聖所、我必轉目、不復顧惜、不加矜憫、

主天主曰、我指己永生而誓、因爾以諸可憎之事、及諸可惡之物、玷污我之聖所、故我必使爾衰微、我必使爾衰微或作我不復加護於爾我目不顧惜、我不加矜憫、

Therefore as surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, because you have defiled my sanctuary with all your vile images and detestable practices, I myself will shave you; I will not look on you with pity or spare you.

You have made my temple‘ unclean.’ You have set up statues of all your evil gods. You have done other things I hate. So I will cut you off just like Ezekiel cut off his hair. I will not spare you or feel sorry for you. And that is just as sure as I am alive,” announces the Lord and King.

Therefore, as I live, declares the Lord God, surely, because you have defiled my sanctuary with all your detestable things and with all your abominations, therefore I will withdraw. My eye will not spare, and I will have no pity.

“ As surely as I live, says the Sovereign Lord, I will cut you off completely. I will show you no pity at all because you have defiled my Temple with your vile images and detestable sins.

Therefore as I live,’ declares the Lord God,‘ Because you have defiled My sanctuary with all your detestable idols and with all your abominations, I definitely will also withdraw and My eye will have no pity, and I also will not spare.

‘ Therefore, as I live,’ says the Lord GOD,‘ surely, because you have defiled My sanctuary with all your detestable things and with all your abominations, therefore I will also diminish you; My eye will not spare, nor will I have any pity.

Wherefore, as I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, surely, because thou hast defiled my sanctuary with all thy detestable things, and with all thine abominations, therefore will I also diminish thee; neither shall mine eye spare, and I also will have no pity.

Wherefore,[ as] I live, saith the Lord GOD; Surely, because thou hast defiled my sanctuary with all thy detestable things, and with all thine abominations, therefore will I also diminish[ thee]; neither shall mine eye spare, neither will I have any pity.

“ Therefore, as surely as I live, says the sovereign LORD, because you defiled my sanctuary with all your detestable idols and with all your abominable practices, I will withdraw; my eye will not pity you, nor will I spare you.

Therefore as I live,’ says the Lord Yahweh,‘ surely, because you have defiled my sanctuary with all your detestable things, and with all your abominations, therefore I will also diminish you. My eye won’t spare, and I will have no pity.

He appointed his beautiful ornaments for majesty, but they made their detestable images from them, their abhorrent things. Therefore, I have made these into something filthy to them.

All the leaders of the priests and the people multiplied their unfaithful deeds, imitating all the detestable practices of the nations, and they defiled the LORD’s temple that he had consecrated in Jerusalem.

The LORD said to me,“ Son of man, look toward the north.” I looked to the north, and there was this offensive statue north of the Altar Gate, at the entrance.He said to me,“ Son of man, do you see what they are doing here— more detestable acts that the house of Israel is committing— so that I must depart from my sanctuary? You will see even more detestable acts.”

“ When they arrive there, they will remove all its abhorrent acts and detestable practices from it.

I will not look on you with pity or spare you. I will punish you for your ways and for your detestable practices within you. Then you will know that it is I, the LORD, who strikes.

But as for those whose hearts pursue their desire for abhorrent acts and detestable practices, I will bring their conduct down on their own heads.” This is the declaration of the Lord GOD.

Therefore I will respond with wrath. I will not show pity or spare them. Though they call loudly in my hearing, I will not listen to them.”

I will first repay them double for their iniquity and sin because they have polluted my land. They have filled my inheritance with the carcasses of their abhorrent and detestable idols.”

“‘ Do you steal, murder, commit adultery, swear falsely, burn incense to Baal, and follow other gods that you have not known?Then do you come and stand before me in this house that bears my name and say,“ We are rescued, so we can continue doing all these detestable acts”?Has this house, which bears my name, become a den of robbers in your view? Yes, I too have seen it. This is the LORD’s declaration.

Tell them: As I live— this is the LORD’s declaration— I will do to you exactly as I heard you say.Your corpses will fall in this wilderness— all of you who were registered in the census, the entire number of you twenty years old or more— because you have complained about me.I swear that none of you will enter the land I promised to settle you in, except Caleb son of Jephunneh and Joshua son of Nun.I will bring your children whom you said would become plunder into the land you rejected, and they will enjoy it.But as for you, your corpses will fall in this wilderness.Your children will be shepherds in the wilderness for forty years and bear the penalty for your acts of unfaithfulness until all your corpses lie scattered in the wilderness.You will bear the consequences of your iniquities forty years based on the number of the forty days that you scouted the land, a year for each day. You will know my displeasure.I, the LORD, have spoken. I swear that I will do this to the entire evil community that has conspired against me. They will come to an end in the wilderness, and there they will die.”

When you brought in foreigners, uncircumcised in both heart and flesh, to occupy my sanctuary, you defiled my temple while you offered my food— the fat and the blood. You broke my covenant by all your detestable practices.

“ For this is what the Lord GOD says: I am going to hand you over to those you hate, to those you turned away from in disgust.

Manasseh set up a carved image of the idol, which he had made, in God’s temple that God had spoken about to David and his son Solomon:“ I will establish my name forever in this temple and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel.

Discipline me, LORD, but with justice— not in your anger, or you will reduce me to nothing.

Burn up the carved images of their gods. because if God did not spare the natural branches, he will not spare you either.

The king tore down the altars that the kings of Judah had made on the roof of Ahaz’s upper chamber. He also tore down the altars that Manasseh had made in the two courtyards of the LORD’s temple. Then he smashed them there and threw their dust into the Kidron Valley.

“ They will be mine,” says the LORD of Armies,“ my own possession on the day I am preparing. I will have compassion on them as a man has compassion on his son who serves him.

The LORD has sworn by the Pride of Jacob: I will never forget all their deeds.

Manasseh set up the carved image of Asherah, which he made, in the temple that the LORD had spoken about to David and his son Solomon:“ I will establish my name forever in this temple and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel.

He built altars in the LORD’s temple, where the LORD had said,“ Jerusalem is where I will put my name.”

So I swore in my anger,“ They will not enter my rest.”

So I sent you all my servants the prophets time and time again, saying,‘ Don’t commit this detestable action that I hate.’

They have placed their abhorrent things in the house that bears my name and have defiled it.

For when God made a promise to Abraham, since he had no one greater to swear by, he swore by himself:

He built altars in the LORD’s temple, where the LORD had said,“ Jerusalem is where my name will remain forever.”
