他普亚地归于玛拿西，只是玛拿西边界的他普亚城却归于以法莲子孙。这地界从那里下到加拿河。河南边的城镇虽然在玛拿西境内，却是属于以法莲的。玛拿西的地界是在河的北边直通到海为止。南边属于以法莲，北边属于玛拿西，以海为界；北边达到亚设，东边达到以萨迦。

约瑟的子孙对约书亚说：“耶和华到如今这样赐福给我，我百姓众多，你为什么只给我抽一签，分一份的土地为业呢？”约书亚对他们说：“如果你百姓众多，而以法莲山区太窄小，那么你可以上比利洗人和利乏音人之地的树林中，在那里开垦。”约瑟的子孙说：“那山区容不下我们，而且住平原的迦南人，就是住伯‧善和所属的乡镇，以及住在耶斯列平原的人，都有铁的战车。”约书亚对约瑟家，就是以法莲和玛拿西人，说：“你百姓众多，并且强大，不可只有一签而已。那山区也要归你，虽然是树林，你可以去开垦，边缘之地也必归你。迦南人纵然强盛，有铁的战车，你也能把他们赶出去。”

约瑟的子孙抽签所得之地是从靠近耶利哥的约旦河起，以耶利哥东边的河水为边界，经过旷野，从耶利哥上去，直到伯特利的山区；从伯特利又到路斯，经过亚基人的边界，直到亚大录；又往西，下到押利提人的边界，到下伯‧和仑的边界，到基色，直通到海为止。约瑟的儿子玛拿西、以法莲得了地业。以法莲子孙的地界，按着宗族所得的如下：他们地业的东界，是从亚大录‧亚达到上伯‧和仑，这地界直通到海。在北边，这地界是从密米他，向东绕到他纳‧示罗，又经过雅挪哈的东边，从雅挪哈下到亚大录和拿拉，再到耶利哥，直到约旦河为止。这地界又从他普亚，顺着加拿河往西延伸，直通到海为止。这就是以法莲支派按着宗族所得的地业。在玛拿西人地业的一切城镇和所属的村庄中，也保留一些城镇给以法莲的子孙。他们却没有赶出住在基色的迦南人。迦南人就住在以法莲人中，成为服劳役的仆人，直到今日。
