第二籤是西緬，是西緬支派的人按着宗族抽出的，他們所得的地業是在猶大人地業的中間。他們所得為業之地是：別是巴，或名示巴，摩拉大、哈薩‧書亞、巴拉、以森、伊勒多臘、比土力、何珥瑪、洗革拉、伯‧瑪加博、哈薩‧蘇撒、伯‧利巴勿、沙魯險，共十三座城，還有所屬的村莊；又有亞因、利門、以帖、亞珊，共四座城，還有所屬的村莊；以及這些城鎮周圍一切的村莊，直到巴拉‧比珥，就是尼革夫的拉瑪。這是西緬支派的人按着宗族所得的地業。西緬人的地業取自猶大人的土地，因為猶大人所得的份過多，所以西緬人從猶大人的地業中取了地業。

她又懷孕生子，給他起名叫西緬，說：「耶和華因為聽見我失寵，所以又賜給我這個兒子。」

西緬和利未是兄弟；他們的刀劍是殘暴的兵器。願我的心不與他們同謀，願我的靈不與他們合夥；因為他們在烈怒中殺人，任意割斷牛腿的筋。他們火爆的烈怒可詛，他們兇殘的憤恨可咒！我要把他們分散在雅各中，使他們散居在以色列。
