“ Here is the list of the tribes of Israel and the territory each is to receive. The territory of Dan is in the extreme north. Its boundary line follows the Hethlon road to Lebo hamath and then runs on to Hazar enan on the border of Damascus, with Hamath to the north. Dan’s territory extends all the way across the land of Israel from east to west.

“ Now these are the names of the tribes: From the northern end, along the road of Hethlon, to Lebo-hamath as far as Hazar-enon, at the northern border of Damascus, alongside Hamath and extending from the eastern side to the sea, will be Dan— one portion.

為但支派，按着宗族，拈出第七鬮。他們地業的境界是瑣拉、以實陶、伊珥‧示麥、沙拉賓、亞雅崙、伊提拉、以倫、亭拿他、以革倫、伊利提基、基比頓、巴拉、伊胡得、比尼‧比拉、迦特‧臨門、美‧耶昆、拉昆，並約帕對面的地界。但人的地界越過原得的地界；因為但人上去攻取利善，用刀擊殺城中的人，得了那城，住在其中，以他們先祖但的名將利善改名為但。 (cunpt)

但人還是走他們的路。米迦見他們的勢力比自己強盛，就轉身回家去了。但人將米迦所做的神像和他的祭司都帶到拉億，見安居無慮的民，就用刀殺了那民，又放火燒了那城，並無人搭救；因為離西頓遠，他們又與別人沒有來往。城在平原，那平原靠近伯‧利合。但人又在那裏修城居住，照着他們始祖以色列之子但的名字，給那城起名叫但；原先那城名叫拉億。 (cunpt)
