“ Here is the list of the tribes of Israel and the territory each is to receive. The territory of Dan is in the extreme north. Its boundary line follows the Hethlon road to Lebo hamath and then runs on to Hazar enan on the border of Damascus, with Hamath to the north. Dan’s territory extends all the way across the land of Israel from east to west.

“ Now these are the names of the tribes: From the northern end, along the road of Hethlon, to Lebo-hamath as far as Hazar-enon, at the northern border of Damascus, alongside Hamath and extending from the eastern side to the sea, will be Dan— one portion.

为但支派，按着家族抽出第七签。他们产业的境界包括：琐拉、以实陶、伊珥．示麦、沙拉宾、亚雅仑、伊提拉、以伦、亭拿他、以革伦、伊利提基、基比顿、巴拉、伊胡得、比尼．比拉、迦特．临门、美．耶昆、拉昆和约帕对面的地区。但人未能控制他们的境界，因此他们就上去攻打利善，夺取那城，用刀击杀了城中的人；他们占领利善，就住在城中，以他们祖先但的名字，把利善改名为但。

我听见被盖印的人的数目，以色列子孙各支派中被盖印的共有十四万四千人：犹大支派中被盖印的，一万二千人；流本支派中，一万二千人；迦得支派中，一万二千人；亚设支派中，一万二千人；拿弗他利支派中，一万二千人；玛拿西支派中，一万二千人；西缅支派中，一万二千人；利未支派中，一万二千人；以萨迦支派中，一万二千人；西布伦支派中，一万二千人；约瑟支派中，一万二千人；便雅悯支派中，一万二千人。

难道我不可以照自己的主意用我的财物吗？还是因为我仁慈你就嫉妒呢？’因此，在后的将要在前，在前的将要在后。”

以色列的众子，各人带着家眷和雅各一同来到埃及。他们的名字是：流本、西缅、利未、犹大、以萨迦、西布伦、便雅悯、但、拿弗他利、迦得、亚设。他们全是雅各所生的，共有七十人；那时约瑟已经在埃及了。

“‘你们的北界如下：从大海起画界，直到何珥山；从何珥山起画界，直到哈马口，使边界直到西达达；这边界再伸到西斐仑，直到哈萨．以难；这要作你们的北界。

以下就是帮助你们的人的名字：属流本支派的，有示丢珥的儿子以利蓿；属西缅支派的，有苏利沙代的儿子示路蔑；属犹大支派的，有亚米拿达的儿子拿顺；属以萨迦支派的，有苏押的儿子拿坦业；属西布伦支派的，有希伦的儿子以利押；约瑟的子孙中，属以法莲支派的，有亚米忽的儿子以利沙玛；属玛拿西支派的，有比大蓿的儿子迦玛列；属便雅悯支派的，有基多尼的儿子亚比但。属但支派的，有亚米沙代的儿子亚希以谢；属亚设支派的，有俄兰的儿子帕结；属迦得支派的，有丢珥的儿子以利雅萨；属拿弗他利支派的，有以南的儿子亚希拉。

但人继续走他们的路；米迦见他们比自己强，就转身回自己的家去了。但人把米迦所做的神像和他的祭司都带走，他们来到拉亿，去到平静安居的人民那里，就用刀剑击杀了他们，又用火烧了那城。没有人搭救，因为离西顿很远，他们又与别人没有来往。这城位于靠近伯．利合的山谷中。但人重建那城，住在其中。按着他们的祖宗，以色列所生的儿子但的名字，给那城起名叫但；其实那城原先的名字叫拉亿。

王打定了主意，就做了两个金牛犊，对众民说：“以色列人哪，你们上耶路撒冷去实在够了。看哪，这是你们的神，就是从埃及地领你们上来的那位。”他就把一个牛犊安放在伯特利，一个安放在但。

西面的地界是大海，从南面的地界到哈马口的对面。这是西面的地界。

王就对约押和跟随他的军官说：“你们走遍以色列各支派，从但到别是巴，数点人民，我好知道人民的数目。”

拉结说：“我的婢女辟拉在这里，你可以与她亲近，使她生子归我，我就可以从她得到孩子﹙“得到孩子”直译是“被建立”﹚。”于是，拉结把自己的婢女辟拉给了雅各为妾，雅各就与她亲近。辟拉怀孕，给雅各生了一个儿子。拉结说：“神为我伸了冤，也垂听了我的声音，赐给我一个儿子。”所以给他起名叫但。

以下是他们的名字：属流本支派的是撒刻的儿子沙母亚。属西缅支派的是何利的儿子沙法。属犹大支派的是耶孚尼的儿子迦勒。属以萨迦支派的是约色的儿子以迦。属以法莲支派的是嫩的儿子何西亚。属便雅悯支派的是拉孚的儿子帕提。属西布伦支派的是梭底的儿子迦叠。属约瑟支派的，就是属玛拿西支派的，是苏西的儿子迦底。属但支派的是基玛利的儿子亚米利。属亚设支派的是米迦勒的儿子西帖。属拿弗他利支派的是瓦缚西的儿子拿比。属迦得支派的是玛基的儿子臼利。
