“ These are the names of the tribes: Beginning at the northern extreme, beside the way of Hethlon to Lebo-hamath, as far as Hazar-enan( which is on the northern border of Damascus over against Hamath), and extending from the east side to the west, Dan, one portion.

“ Here is the list of the tribes of Israel and the territory each is to receive. The territory of Dan is in the extreme north. Its boundary line follows the Hethlon road to Lebo hamath and then runs on to Hazar enan on the border of Damascus, with Hamath to the north. Dan’s territory extends all the way across the land of Israel from east to west.

“ Now these are the names of the tribes: From the northern end, along the road of Hethlon, to Lebo-hamath as far as Hazar-enon, at the northern border of Damascus, alongside Hamath and extending from the eastern side to the sea, will be Dan— one portion.

“ Now these are the names of the tribes: from the northern extremity, beside the way of Hethlon to Lebo hamath, as far as Hazar enan at the border of Damascus, toward the north beside Hamath, running from east to west, Dan, one portion.

“ Now these are the names of the tribes: From the northern border along the road to Hethlon at the entrance of Hamath, to Hazar Enan, the border of Damascus northward, in the direction of Hamath, there shall be one section for Dan from its east to its west side;

“ Now these are the names of the tribes: From the northern end, along the road of Hethlon, to Lebo-hamath as far as Hazar-enon, at the northern border of Damascus, alongside Hamath and extending from the eastern side to the sea, will be Dan— one portion.

Now these[ are] the names of the tribes. From the north end to the coast of the way of Hethlon, as one goeth to Hamath, Hazarenan, the border of Damascus northward, to the coast of Hamath; for these are his sides east[ and] west; a[ portion for] Dan.

“ These are the names of the tribes: From the northern end beside the road of Hethlon to Lebo-hamath, as far as Hazar-enan( which is on the border of Damascus, toward the north beside Hamath), extending from the east side to the west, Dan will have one portion.

“ Now these are the names of the tribes: From the north end, beside the way of Hethlon to the entrance of Hamath, Hazar Enan at the border of Damascus, northward beside Hamath( and they shall have their sides east and west), Dan, one portion.

我聽見以色列各支派中蓋了印的共有十四萬四千人：猶大支派有一萬二千，呂便支派有一萬二千，迦得支派有一萬二千，亞設支派有一萬二千，拿弗他利支派有一萬二千，瑪拿西支派有一萬二千，西緬支派有一萬二千，利未支派有一萬二千，以薩迦支派有一萬二千，西布倫支派有一萬二千，約瑟支派有一萬二千，便雅憫支派有一萬二千。

難道我不可隨意使用自己的錢嗎？因為我慷慨，你就眼紅嗎？』因此，為首的將要殿後，殿後的將要為首。」

以色列的眾子帶著家眷跟雅各一起去了埃及，以下是他們的名字：呂便、西緬、利未、猶大、以薩迦、西布倫、便雅憫、但、拿弗他利、迦得、亞設。雅各的子孫總共有七十人。那時，約瑟已經住在埃及。

但支派的人繼續趕路。米迦見對方人多勢眾，就回家去了。但支派的人帶著米迦的神像和他的祭司來到拉億，那裡的人生活安寧，毫無防範。他們殺掉當地的居民，放火燒了城。拉億離西頓很遠，當地的居民與外界沒有來往，以致孤立無援。這城位於伯·利合附近的山谷中，但支派的人重建該城，住在那裡。這座城原來叫拉億，他們用祖先以色列的兒子但的名字為該城重新命名。

他徵詢臣僚的意見後，就鑄造了兩個金牛犢，對民眾說：「以色列人啊，你們上耶路撒冷敬拜太麻煩了。這兩個金牛犢就是領你們出埃及的神明。」他把一個金牛犢安置在伯特利，另一個安置在但。

「西界從南界沿地中海的海岸到北界哈馬口對面的地方。

大衛對統領軍隊的約押說：「你去走遍以色列各支派，從但到別示巴，統計以色列和猶大的人口，讓我知道國民的數目。」

拉結說：「你去跟我的婢女辟拉同房吧，這樣她可以為我生孩子，我也可以留下後代。」於是拉結把婢女辟拉給丈夫做妾，雅各和辟拉同房。辟拉懷了孕，為雅各生下一個兒子。拉結說：「上帝為我申了冤，也聽了我的懇求，賜給我一個兒子。」拉結就給孩子取名叫但。

他們的名字如下：呂便支派撒刻的兒子沙姆亞，西緬支派何利的兒子沙法，猶大支派耶孚尼的兒子迦勒，以薩迦支派約色的兒子以迦，以法蓮支派嫩的兒子何西阿，便雅憫支派拉孚的兒子帕提，西布倫支派梭底的兒子迦疊，約瑟的子孫、瑪拿西支派穌西的兒子迦底，但支派基瑪利的兒子亞米利，亞設支派米迦勒的兒子西帖，拿弗他利支派縛西的兒子拿比，迦得支派瑪基的兒子臼利。
