He said to me,“ These waters go out toward the eastern region and flow down into the Arabah; when they enter the Dead Sea, where the sea is stagnant, the waters become fresh.

他對我說：『這些水向東方一帶地區流出，必下到亞拉巴，來到鹽海；所發出的水既流入鹽海，那水就得治好而無鹹味了。

其人謂我曰、此水流於東方、下至亞拉巴、而入於海、既入於海、海水變甘、

其人告我云、此水流至東方、過野入海、海為之甘、

其人告我曰、此水流往東境、下至曠野、曠野或作亞拉巴入鹽海、水自殿出、一入鹽海、水即變甘、

He said to me,“ This water flows toward the eastern region and goes down into the Arabah, where it enters the Dead Sea. When it empties into the sea, the salty water there becomes fresh.

The man said to me,“ This water flows toward the eastern territory. It goes down into the Arabah Valley. There it enters the Dead Sea. When it empties into it, the salt water there becomes fresh.

And he said to me,“ This water flows toward the eastern region and goes down into the Arabah, and enters the sea; when the water flows into the sea, the water will become fresh.

Then he said to me,“ This river flows east through the desert into the valley of the Dead Sea. The waters of this stream will make the salty waters of the Dead Sea fresh and pure.

He said to me,“ This water flows out to the eastern region and goes down to the Arabah. When it enters the sea, the sea of foul water, the water of the sea becomes fresh.

Then he said to me,“ These waters go out toward the eastern region and go down into the Arabah; then they go toward the sea, being made to flow into the sea, and the waters of the sea become fresh.

Then he said to me:“ This water flows toward the eastern region, goes down into the valley, and enters the sea. When it reaches the sea, its waters are healed.

Then said he unto me, These waters issue forth toward the eastern region, and shall go down into the Arabah; and they shall go toward the sea; into the sea shall the waters go which were made to issue forth; and the waters shall be healed.

He said to me,“ This water flows out to the eastern region and goes down to the Arabah. When it enters the sea, the sea of foul water, the water of the sea becomes fresh.

Then said he unto me, These waters issue out toward the east country, and go down into the desert, and go into the sea:[ which being] brought forth into the sea, the waters shall be healed.

Then he said to me,“ These waters flow out toward the eastern region, and will go down into the Arabah. Then they will go toward the sea; and flow into the sea which will be made to flow out; and the waters will be healed.

the water coming downstream toward them stopped flowing. It piled up far upstream at Adam( the city near Zarethan); there was no water at all flowing to the sea of the Arabah( the Salt Sea). The people crossed the river opposite Jericho.

The Arabah and the Jordan River were also a border, from the sea of Chinnereth to the sea of the Arabah( that is, the Salt Sea), beneath the watershed of Pisgah to the east.

The men of the city said to Elisha,“ Look, the city has a good location, as our master can see. But the water is bad and the land doesn’t produce crops.”Elisha said,“ Get me a new jar and put some salt in it.” So they got it.He went out to the spring and threw the salt in. Then he said,“ This is what the LORD says,‘ I have purified this water. It will no longer cause death or fail to produce crops.”The water has been pure to this very day, just as Elisha prophesied.

For I will pour water on the parched ground and cause streams to flow on the dry land. I will pour my spirit on your offspring and my blessing on your children.They will sprout up like a tree in the grass, like poplars beside channels of water.One will say,‘ I belong to the LORD,’ and another will use the name‘ Jacob.’ One will write on his hand,‘ The LORD’s,’ and use the name‘ Israel.’”

The oppressed and the poor look for water, but there is none; their tongues are parched from thirst. I, the LORD, will respond to their prayers; I, the God of Israel, will not abandon them.I will make streams flow down the slopes and produce springs in the middle of the valleys. I will turn the desert into a pool of water and the arid land into springs.I will make cedars, acacias, myrtles, and olive trees grow in the wilderness; I will make evergreens, firs, and cypresses grow together in the desert.

The wild animals of the desert honor me, the jackals and ostriches, because I put water in the desert and streams in the wilderness, to quench the thirst of my chosen people,

including all the Arabah of the Transjordan in the east to the sea of the Arabah, beneath the watershed of Pisgah.)

The dry soil will become a pool of water, the parched ground springs of water. Where jackals once lived and sprawled out, grass, reeds, and papyrus will grow.

They will come back shedding tears of contrition. I will bring them back praying prayers of repentance. I will lead them besides streams of water, along smooth paths where they will never stumble. I will do this because I am Israel’s father; Ephraim is my firstborn son.’”

For the heart of this people has become dull; they are hard of hearing, and they have shut their eyes, so that they would not see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.’

A wolf will reside with a lamb, and a leopard will lie down with a young goat; an ox and a young lion will graze together, as a small child leads them along.A cow and a bear will graze together, their young will lie down together. A lion, like an ox, will eat straw.A baby will play over the hole of a snake; over the nest of a serpent an infant will put his hand.They will no longer injure or destroy on my entire royal mountain. For there will be universal submission to the LORD’s sovereignty, just as the waters completely cover the sea.

You will say to the prisoners,‘ Come out,’ and to those who are in dark dungeons,‘ Emerge.’ They will graze beside the roads; on all the slopes they will find pasture.

For from the east to the west my name will be great among the nations. Incense and pure offerings will be offered in my name everywhere, for my name will be great among the nations,” says the LORD who rules over all.

Let the desert and dry region be happy; let the wilderness rejoice and bloom like a lily!
