I remembered the word of the Lord, how he said,‘ John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’If, then, God gave them the same gift that he also gave to us when we believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, how could I possibly hinder God?”When they heard this they became silent. And they glorified God, saying,“ So then, God has given repentance resulting in life even to the Gentiles.”

I looked up and saw a man with a measuring line in his hand.

Then they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in different tongues, as the Spirit enabled them.

Then I was given a measuring reed like a rod, with these words:“ Go and measure the temple of God and the altar, and count those who worship there.

And look, I am sending you what my Father promised. As for you, stay in the city until you are empowered from on high.”
