Fishermen will stand along the shore; from En Gedi to En Eglaim there will be places for spreading nets. The fish will be of many kinds— like the fish of the Mediterranean Sea.

People will stand along the shore to fish. From En Gedi all the way to En Eglaim there will be places for spreading fishnets. The Dead Sea will have many kinds of fish. They will be like the fish in the Mediterranean Sea.

Fishermen will stand along the shores of the Dead Sea. All the way from En gedi to En eglaim, the shores will be covered with nets drying in the sun. Fish of every kind will fill the Dead Sea, just as they fill the Mediterranean.

Fishermen will stand beside it from En-gedi to En-eglaim. These will become places where nets are spread out to dry. Their fish will consist of many different kinds, like the fish of the Mediterranean Sea.

And it will come about that fishermen will stand beside it; from Engedi to Eneglaim there will be a place for the spreading of nets. Their fish will be according to their kinds, like the fish of the Great Sea, very many.

Here is the sea, great and wide, which teems with creatures innumerable, living things both small and great.

“ For the western border, you shall have the Great Sea and its coast. This shall be your western border.

And adjoining the territory of Gad to the south, the boundary shall run from Tamar to the waters of Meribah-kadesh, from there along the Brook of Egypt to the Great Sea.

Some men came and told Jehoshaphat,“ A great multitude is coming against you from Edom, from beyond the sea; and, behold, they are in Hazazon-tamar”( that is, Engedi).

And when he had finished speaking, he said to Simon,“ Put out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.”And Simon answered,“ Master, we toiled all night and took nothing! But at your word I will let down the nets.”And when they had done this, they enclosed a large number of fish, and their nets were breaking.They signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink.But when Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying,“ Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord.”For he and all who were with him were astonished at the catch of fish that they had taken,and so also were James and John, sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. And Jesus said to Simon,“ Do not be afraid; from now on you will be catching men.”

The children of your bereavement will yet say in your ears:‘ The place is too narrow for me; make room for me to dwell in.’

She shall be in the midst of the sea a place for the spreading of nets, for I have spoken, declares the Lord God. And she shall become plunder for the nations,

And Jesus said to them,“ Follow me, and I will make you become fishers of men.”

Behold, I have allotted to you as an inheritance for your tribes those nations that remain, along with all the nations that I have already cut off, from the Jordan to the Great Sea in the west.

“ Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was thrown into the sea and gathered fish of every kind.When it was full, men drew it ashore and sat down and sorted the good into containers but threw away the bad.So it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come out and separate the evil from the righteousand throw them into the fiery furnace. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Simon Peter said to them,“ I am going fishing.” They said to him,“ We will go with you.” They went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing.Just as day was breaking, Jesus stood on the shore; yet the disciples did not know that it was Jesus.Jesus said to them,“ Children, do you have any fish?” They answered him,“ No.”He said to them,“ Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” So they cast it, and now they were not able to haul it in, because of the quantity of fish.That disciple whom Jesus loved therefore said to Peter,“ It is the Lord!” When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his outer garment, for he was stripped for work, and threw himself into the sea.The other disciples came in the boat, dragging the net full of fish, for they were not far from the land, but about a hundred yards off.When they got out on land, they saw a charcoal fire in place, with fish laid out on it, and bread.Jesus said to them,“ Bring some of the fish that you have just caught.”So Simon Peter went aboard and hauled the net ashore, full of large fish, 153 of them. And although there were so many, the net was not torn.

And David went up from there and lived in the strongholds of Engedi.

Behold, these shall come from afar, and behold, these from the north and from the west, and these from the land of Syene.”
