燔祭獻完了，王和所有跟他在場的眾人都屈身敬拜。

祭司要取些解罪祭牲的血、抹在殿的門框上、和祭壇磴臺的四角上、跟內院的門框上。

王站在他的地位上，在永恆主面前立約，要全心全意地跟從永恆主，謹守他的誡命、法令、律例，實行所寫在這書上的約的話。

『我實實在在地告訴你們，那不由門進羊圈，倒從別處爬進的，那人是賊，是強盜：那由門進的乃是羊的牧人。看門的給這個人開門；羊聽他的聲音，他按名字呼叫自己的羊，領他們出來。

就稍往前走，俯伏在地上禱告說：『我父啊，倘若可能，就叫這杯離開我吧；然而不要照我所願的，只要照你所願的。』

所羅門當着以色列全體大眾、站在永恆主的祭壇前向天伸開雙手禱告，說：『永恆主以色列的上帝啊，上天下地之上沒有神可以比得上你：你對你僕人、盡心而行於你面前的人、你總是守約並守堅固之愛的；

於是大衛王進去，恭坐在永恆主面前，說：『永恆主上帝啊，我是誰，我的家算甚麼，你竟帶領了我到這地步？

基督在他肉身的日子、既用壯烈的哭號和眼淚、向那能救他脫死的獻祈求和懇請，就因了虔敬而蒙垂聽；雖是兒子，還因所受的苦而學了聽從；

我們傳揚他，用各樣智慧勸戒各人，教導各人，好把各人獻上、做在基督裏長大成熟的人。

人君若供備自願獻的燔祭或是平安祭做自願獻的祭奉與永恆主，就有人給他開朝東的門；他便供備上他的燔祭和平安祭，像安息之日供備的一樣；獻完了他就出去；他出去之後，就有人將門關閉上。

她一看，見王竟站在出入處的柱旁呢；大臣們和吹號筒的人都侍立在王左右；國中眾民全都歡喜快樂、吹着號筒；還有歌唱人用各樣樂器領導頌讚；亞他利雅一看見，就撕裂衣服，說：『反了！反了！』

所羅門曾造一座銅臺，放在外院中：長五肘、寬五肘、高三肘：這時候他就站在這臺上，當着以色列全體大眾面前屈膝跪下，向天舉開雙手，
