The prince is to enter from the outside through the portico of the gateway and stand by the gatepost. The priests are to sacrifice his burnt offering and his fellowship offerings. He is to bow down in worship at the threshold of the gateway and then go out, but the gate will not be shut until evening.

The prince must enter the temple area through the porch of the gateway. He must stand by the gatepost. The priests must sacrifice his burnt offering and friendship offerings. He must bow down in worship at the entrance of the gateway. Then he must leave. But the gate will not be shut until evening.

The prince shall enter by the vestibule of the gate from outside, and shall take his stand by the post of the gate. The priests shall offer his burnt offering and his peace offerings, and he shall worship at the threshold of the gate. Then he shall go out, but the gate shall not be shut until evening.

所以，大衛在會眾面前稱頌耶和華說：「耶和華－我們的父，以色列的神是應當稱頌，直到永永遠遠的！耶和華啊，尊大、能力、榮耀、強勝、威嚴都是你的；凡天上地下的都是你的；國度也是你的，並且你為至高，為萬有之首。豐富尊榮都從你而來，你也治理萬物。在你手裏有大能大力，使人尊大強盛都出於你。

獻完了祭，王和一切跟隨的人都俯伏敬拜。

祭司要取些贖罪祭牲的血，抹在殿的門柱上和壇磴臺的四角上，並內院的門框上。

王站在他的地位上，在耶和華面前立約，要盡心盡性地順從耶和華，遵守他的誡命、法度、律例，成就這書上所記的約言；

「我實實在在地告訴你們，人進羊圈，不從門進去，倒從別處爬進去，那人就是賊，就是強盜。從門進去的，才是羊的牧人。看門的就給他開門；羊也聽他的聲音。他按着名叫自己的羊，把羊領出來。

他就稍往前走，俯伏在地，禱告說：「我父啊，倘若可行，求你叫這杯離開我。然而，不要照我的意思，只要照你的意思。」

所羅門當着以色列會眾，站在耶和華的壇前，向天舉手說：「耶和華－以色列的神啊，天上地下沒有神可比你的！你向那盡心行在你面前的僕人守約施慈愛；

於是大衛王進去，坐在耶和華面前，說：「耶和華神啊，我是誰，我的家算甚麼，你竟使我到這地步呢？

基督在肉體的時候，既大聲哀哭，流淚禱告，懇求那能救他免死的主，就因他的虔誠蒙了應允。他雖然為兒子，還是因所受的苦難學了順從。

我們傳揚他，是用諸般的智慧，勸戒各人，教導各人，要把各人在基督裏完完全全地引到神面前。

王預備甘心獻的燔祭或平安祭，就是向耶和華甘心獻的，當有人為他開朝東的門。他就預備燔祭和平安祭，與安息日預備的一樣，獻畢就出去。他出去之後，當有人將門關閉。」

看見王站在殿門的柱旁，百夫長和吹號的人侍立在王左右，國民都歡樂吹號，又有歌唱的，用各樣的樂器領人歌唱讚美；亞她利雅就撕裂衣服，喊叫說：「反了！反了！」

（所羅門曾造一個銅臺，長五肘，寬五肘，高三肘，放在院中）就站在臺上，當着以色列的會眾跪下，向天舉手，
