Power and might are in your hand, and it is in your hand to make great and to give strength to all.

When the burnt offerings were completed, the king and all those present with him bowed down and worshiped.

The priest is to take some of the blood from the sin offering and apply it to the temple doorposts, the four corners of the altar’s ledge, and the doorposts of the gate of the inner court.

Then the king stood at his post and made a covenant in the LORD’s presence to follow the LORD and to keep his commands, his decrees, and his statutes with all his heart and with all his soul in order to carry out the words of the covenant written in this book.

“ Truly I tell you, anyone who doesn’t enter the sheep pen by the gate but climbs in some other way is a thief and a robber.The one who enters by the gate is the shepherd of the sheep.The gatekeeper opens it for him, and the sheep hear his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.

Going a little farther, he fell facedown and prayed,“ My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.”

Then Solomon stood before the altar of the LORD in front of the entire congregation of Israel and spread out his hands toward heaven.He said: LORD God of Israel, there is no God like you in heaven above or on earth below, who keeps the gracious covenant with your servants who walk before you with all their heart.

Then King David went in, sat in the LORD’s presence, and said, Who am I, LORD God, and what is my house that you have brought me this far?

During his earthly life, he offered prayers and appeals with loud cries and tears to the one who was able to save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverence.Although he was the Son, he learned obedience from what he suffered.

We proclaim him, warning and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone mature in Christ.

“ When the prince makes a freewill offering, whether a burnt offering or a fellowship offering as a freewill offering to the LORD, the gate that faces east is to be opened for him. He is to offer his burnt offering or fellowship offering just as he does on the Sabbath day. Then he will go out, and the gate is to be closed after he leaves.

As she looked, there was the king standing by his pillar at the entrance. The commanders and the trumpeters were by the king, and all the people of the land were rejoicing and blowing trumpets while the singers with musical instruments were leading the praise. For Solomon had made a bronze platform 7½ feet long, 7½ feet wide, and 4½ feet high and put it in the court. He stood on it, knelt down in front of the entire congregation of Israel, and spread out his hands toward heaven.
