獻完了祭，王和所有在場的人，都屈膝叩拜。

祭司要取些贖罪祭牲的血，抹在殿的門框、祭壇臺上的四角，以及內院的門框上。

王站在他的位上，在耶和華面前立約，要一心一意跟隨耶和華，謹守他的誡命、法度和律例，實行這書上所記立約的誓言。

“我實實在在告訴你們，那不從門進羊圈，倒從別處爬進去的，那人就是賊，就是強盜；那從門進去的，才是羊的牧人。看門的給他開門，羊也聽他的聲音；他按著名字呼叫自己的羊，領牠們出來。

他稍往前走，把臉俯伏在地上，禱告說：“我的父啊！可能的話，求你使這杯離開我；但不要照我的意思，只要照你的旨意。”

所羅門當著以色列的全體會眾，站在耶和華的祭壇前，向天伸開雙手，禱告說：“耶和華以色列的神啊，天上地下沒有別的神像你；你對一心在你面前行事為人的僕人守約施慈愛。

於是大衛王進去，坐在耶和華面前，說：“耶和華神啊，我是甚麼人？我的家算甚麼，你竟帶領我到這個地步？

基督在世的時候，曾經流淚大聲禱告懇求那位能救他脫離死亡的神；因著他的敬虔，就蒙了應允。他雖然是兒子，還是因著所受的苦難學會了順從。

我們傳揚他，是用各樣的智慧，勸戒各人，教導各人，為了要使各人在基督裡得到完全。

君王把甘心獻的燔祭或平安祭獻給耶和華的時候，朝東的門要為他打開。他就獻上他的燔祭和平安祭，正如他在安息日所獻上的一樣。他獻完了就出去；他出去以後，門就要關上。

她一觀看，見王站在殿門口的柱旁，眾官長和吹號的人在王的周圍；國民都歡樂吹號，又有歌唱的人用各種樂器領導眾人歌頌。於是亞他利雅撕裂衣服，說：“反了！反了！”

原來所羅門做了一座銅臺，長兩公尺兩公寸，寬兩公尺兩公寸，高一公尺三公寸，安放在外院中。那時他站在銅臺上，在以色列全體會眾面前，屈膝下跪，向天張開雙手，
