祭司要取些贖罪祭牲的血抹在聖殿的門柱、祭台的四角和內院門口的柱子上。

王站在自己的位置上，在耶和華面前立約，要全心全意地跟隨耶和華，遵從祂的一切誡命、法度和律例，履行約書上的規定。

耶穌說：「我實實在在地告訴你們，不從門進羊圈而從別處爬進去的人就是賊，是強盜。從門進去的才是羊的牧人，看門的會給他開門，羊也聽他的聲音。他按名字叫自己的羊，把牠們領出來。

祂稍往前走，俯伏在地上禱告：「我父啊！如果可以，求你撤去此杯。然而，願你的旨意成就，而非我的意願。」

基督在世為人的時候，曾經聲淚俱下地祈求能救祂脫離死亡的上帝。祂因為敬虔而蒙了應允。基督雖然是上帝的兒子，仍然從所受的苦難中學習了順服。

我們傳揚基督，用各樣的智慧勸誡、教導眾人，使他們在基督裡長大成熟，好把他們帶到上帝面前。
