It will be the duty of the prince to provide the burnt offerings, grain offerings and drink offerings at the festivals, the New Moons and the Sabbaths— at all the appointed festivals of Israel. He will provide the sin offerings, grain offerings, burnt offerings and fellowship offerings to make atonement for the Israelites.

He must provide the burnt offerings, grain offerings and drink offerings. They will be for the yearly feasts, New Moon feasts and Sabbath days. So they will be for all the appointed feasts of the people of Israel. The prince will provide the sin offerings, grain offerings, burnt offerings and friendship offerings. They will be used to pay for the sin of the Israelites.”

It shall be the prince’s duty to furnish the burnt offerings, grain offerings, and drink offerings, at the feasts, the new moons, and the Sabbaths, all the appointed feasts of the house of Israel: he shall provide the sin offerings, grain offerings, burnt offerings, and peace offerings, to make atonement on behalf of the house of Israel.

The prince will be required to provide offerings that are given at the religious festivals, the new moon celebrations, the Sabbath days, and all other similar occasions. He will provide the sin offerings, burnt offerings, grain offerings, liquid offerings, and peace offerings to purify the people of Israel, making them right with the Lord.

Then the burnt offerings, grain offerings, and drink offerings for the festivals, New Moons, and Sabbaths— for all the appointed times of the house of Israel— will be the prince’s responsibility. He will provide the sin offerings, grain offerings, burnt offerings, and fellowship offerings to make atonement on behalf of the house of Israel.

And one who enters by way of the south gate shall go out by way of the north gate. No one shall return by way of the gate by which he entered, but shall go straight out.And when they go in, the prince shall go in among them; and when they go out, he shall go out.“ At the festivals and the appointed feasts, the grain offering shall be an ephah with a bull and an ephah with a ram, and with the lambs as much as one is able to give, and a hin of oil with an ephah.And when the prince provides a voluntary offering, a burnt offering, or peace offerings as a voluntary offering to the Lord, the gate facing east shall be opened for him. And he shall provide his burnt offering and his peace offerings as he does on the Sabbath day. Then he shall go out, and the gate shall be shut after he goes out.

And it shall be from new moon to new moon And from Sabbath to Sabbath, All mankind will come to bow down before Me,” says the Lord.

He also appointed the king’s portion of his property for the burnt offerings, namely, for the morning and evening burnt offerings, and the burnt offerings for the Sabbaths and for the new moons and for the appointed festivals, as it is written in the Law of the Lord.

The Lord spoke again to Moses, saying,“ Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them,‘ The Lord’s appointed times which you shall proclaim as holy convocations— My appointed times are these:‘ For six days work may be done, but on the seventh day there is a Sabbath of complete rest, a holy convocation. You shall not do any work; it is a Sabbath to the Lord in all your dwellings.‘ These are the appointed times of the Lord, holy convocations which you shall proclaim at the times appointed for them.In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at twilight is the Lord’s Passover.Then on the fifteenth day of the same month there is the Feast of Unleavened Bread to the Lord; for seven days you shall eat unleavened bread.On the first day you shall have a holy convocation; you shall not do any laborious work.But for seven days you shall present an offering by fire to the Lord. On the seventh day is a holy convocation; you shall not do any laborious work.’ ”Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,“ Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them,‘ When you enter the land which I am going to give to you and you gather its harvest, then you shall bring in the sheaf of the first fruits of your harvest to the priest.He shall wave the sheaf before the Lord for you to be accepted; on the day after the Sabbath the priest shall wave it.Now on the day when you wave the sheaf, you shall offer a male lamb one year old without defect as a burnt offering to the Lord.Its grain offering shall then be two tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil, an offering by fire to the Lord for a soothing aroma, with its drink offering, a fourth of a hin of wine.Until this very day, until you have brought in the offering of your God, you shall eat neither bread nor roasted grain nor new produce. It is to be a permanent statute throughout your generations in all your dwelling places.‘ You shall also count for yourselves from the day after the Sabbath, from the day when you brought in the sheaf of the wave offering; there shall be seven complete Sabbaths.You shall count fifty days to the day after the seventh Sabbath; then you shall present a new grain offering to the Lord.You shall bring in from your dwelling places two loaves of bread as a wave offering, made of two tenths of an ephah; they shall be of a fine flour, baked with leaven as first fruits to the Lord.Along with the bread you shall present seven one year old male lambs without defect, and a bull of the herd and two rams; they are to be a burnt offering to the Lord, with their grain offering and their drink offerings, an offering by fire of a soothing aroma to the Lord.You shall also offer one male goat as a sin offering, and two male lambs one year old as a sacrifice of peace offerings.The priest shall then wave them with the bread of the first fruits as a wave offering with two lambs before the Lord; they are to be holy to the Lord for the priest.On this very day you shall make a proclamation as well; you are to have a holy convocation. You shall do no laborious work. It is to be a permanent statute in all your dwelling places throughout your generations.‘ When you reap the harvest of your land, moreover, you shall not reap to the very edges of your field nor gather the gleaning of your harvest; you are to leave them for the needy and the stranger. I am the Lord your God.’ ”Again the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,“ Speak to the sons of Israel, saying,‘ In the seventh month on the first of the month you shall have a rest, a reminder by blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation.You shall not do any laborious work, but you shall present an offering by fire to the Lord.’ ”Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,“ On exactly the tenth day of this seventh month is the Day of Atonement; it shall be a holy convocation for you, and you shall humble yourselves and present an offering by fire to the Lord.You shall not do any work on this very day, for it is a Day of Atonement, to make atonement on your behalf before the Lord your God.If there is any person who does not humble himself on this very day, he shall be cut off from his people.As for any person who does any work on this very day, that person I will eliminate from among his people.You shall not do any work. It is to be a permanent statute throughout your generations in all your dwelling places.It is to be a Sabbath of complete rest for you, and you shall humble yourselves; on the ninth of the month at evening, from evening until evening, you shall keep your Sabbath.”Again the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,“ Speak to the sons of Israel, saying,‘ On the fifteenth of this seventh month is the Feast of Booths for seven days to the Lord.On the first day is a holy convocation; you shall not do any laborious work.For seven days you shall present an offering by fire to the Lord. On the eighth day you shall have a holy convocation and present an offering by fire to the Lord; it is an assembly. You shall not do any laborious work.‘ These are the appointed times of the Lord which you shall proclaim as holy convocations, to present offerings by fire to the Lord— burnt offerings and grain offerings, sacrifices and drink offerings, each day’s matter on its own day—besides those of the Sabbaths of the Lord, and besides your gifts and besides all your vowed and voluntary offerings, which you give to the Lord.‘ On exactly the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the crops of the land, you shall celebrate the feast of the Lord for seven days, with a rest on the first day and a rest on the eighth day.Now on the first day you shall take for yourselves the foliage of beautiful trees, palm branches and branches of trees with thick branches and willows of the brook, and you shall rejoice before the Lord your God for seven days.So you shall celebrate it as a feast to the Lord for seven days in the year. It shall be a permanent statute throughout your generations; you shall celebrate it in the seventh month.You shall live in booths for seven days; all the native born in Israel shall live in booths,so that your generations may know that I had the sons of Israel live in booths when I brought them out from the land of Egypt. I am the Lord your God.’ ”So Moses declared to the sons of Israel the appointed times of the Lord.

For Hezekiah king of Judah had contributed to the assembly a thousand bulls and seven thousand sheep, and the princes had contributed to the assembly a thousand bulls and ten thousand sheep; and a large number of priests consecrated themselves.

Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,“ Command the sons of Israel and say to them,‘ You shall be careful to present to Me My offering, My food for My offerings by fire, of a soothing aroma to Me, at their appointed time.’And you shall say to them,‘ This is the offering by fire which you shall offer to the Lord: two male lambs one year old without defect as a continual burnt offering every day.You shall offer the one lamb in the morning, and the other lamb you shall offer at twilight;also a tenth of an ephah of fine flour as a grain offering, mixed with a fourth of a hin of pure oil.It is a continual burnt offering which was ordained on Mount Sinai as a soothing aroma, an offering by fire to the Lord.Then the drink offering with it shall be a fourth of a hin for each lamb; in the Holy Place pour out a drink offering of strong drink to the Lord.The other lamb you shall offer at twilight; as the grain offering of the morning and as its drink offering, you shall offer it, an offering by fire, a soothing aroma to the Lord.‘ Then on the Sabbath day two male lambs one year old without defect, and two tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil as a grain offering, and its drink offering:This is the burnt offering of every Sabbath in addition to the continual burnt offering and its drink offering.‘ Then at the beginning of each of your months you shall present a burnt offering to the Lord: two bulls and one ram, seven male lambs one year old without defect;and three tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil as a grain offering, for each bull; and two tenths of fine flour mixed with oil as a grain offering, for the one ram;and a tenth of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil as a grain offering for each lamb, as a burnt offering of a soothing aroma, an offering by fire to the Lord.Their drink offerings shall be half a hin of wine for a bull and a third of a hin for the ram and a fourth of a hin for a lamb; this is the burnt offering of each month throughout the months of the year.And one male goat as a sin offering to the Lord; it shall be offered with its drink offering in addition to the continual burnt offering.‘ The Lord’s Passover shall be on the fourteenth day of the first month.On the fifteenth day of this month there shall be a feast; unleavened bread shall be eaten for seven days.On the first day there shall be a holy assembly; you shall do no laborious work.But you shall present an offering by fire, a burnt offering to the Lord: two bulls and one ram, and seven male lambs one year old, that you have without defect.For their grain offering, you shall offer fine flour mixed with oil: three tenths of an ephah for a bull, and two tenths for the ram.A tenth of an ephah you shall offer for each of the seven lambs;and one male goat as a sin offering to make atonement for you.You shall present these besides the burnt offering of the morning, which is for a continual burnt offering.In this way you shall present daily, for seven days, the food of the offering by fire, of a soothing aroma to the Lord; it shall be presented with its drink offering in addition to the continual burnt offering.On the seventh day you shall have a holy assembly; you shall do no laborious work.‘ Also on the day of the first fruits, when you present a new grain offering to the Lord in your Feast of Weeks, you shall have a holy assembly; you shall do no laborious work.But you shall offer a burnt offering as a soothing aroma to the Lord: two bulls, one ram, and seven male lambs one year old;and as their grain offering, fine flour mixed with oil: three tenths of an ephah for each bull, two tenths for the one ram,and a tenth for each of the seven lambs;

And Solomon offered for the sacrifice of peace offerings, which he offered to the Lord, twenty two thousand oxen and 120,000 sheep. So the king and all the sons of Israel dedicated the house of the Lord.On the same day the king consecrated the middle of the courtyard that was in front of the house of the Lord, because there he offered the burnt offering, the grain offering, and the fat of the peace offerings; for the bronze altar that was before the Lord was too small to hold the burnt offering, the grain offering, and the fat of the peace offerings.

When they have completed the days, it shall be that on the eighth day and onward, the priests shall offer your burnt offerings on the altar, and your peace offerings; and I will accept you,’ declares the Lord God.”

Then Solomon offered burnt offerings to the Lord on the altar of the Lord which he had built in front of the porch;and he did so according to the daily rule, offering them up according to the commandment of Moses, for the Sabbaths, the new moons, and the three annual feasts— the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the Feast of Weeks, and the Feast of Booths.

Through Him then, let’s continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips praising His name.

In addition, in my delight in the house of my God, the treasure I have of gold and silver, I give to the house of my God, over and above all that I have already provided for the holy temple,namely, three thousand talents of gold, from the gold of Ophir, and seven thousand talents of refined silver, to overlay the walls of the buildings;gold for the things of gold and silver for the things of silver, that is, for all the work done by the craftsmen. Who then is willing to consecrate himself this day to the Lord?”Then the rulers of the fathers’ households, the leaders of the tribes of Israel, and the commanders of thousands and hundreds, with the supervisors of the king’s work, offered willingly;and for the service of the house of God they gave five thousand talents and ten thousand darics of gold, ten thousand talents of silver, eighteen thousand talents of brass, and a hundred thousand talents of iron.Whoever possessed precious stones gave them to the treasury of the house of the Lord, in care of Jehiel the Gershonite.Then the people rejoiced because they had offered so willingly, for they made their offering to the Lord wholeheartedly, and King David also rejoiced greatly.

Furthermore, I issue a decree concerning what you are to do for these elders of Judah in the rebuilding of that house of God: the full cost is to be paid to those people from the royal treasury out of the taxes of the provinces beyond the Euphrates River, and that without interruption.And whatever is needed, bulls, rams, and lambs for burnt offerings to the God of heaven, and wheat, salt, wine, and anointing oil, as the priests in Jerusalem order, it is to be given to them daily without fail,

When David had finished offering the burnt offering and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the Lord.Then he distributed to everyone of Israel, both men and women, to everyone a loaf of bread, a portion of meat, and a raisin cake.

Further, he distributed to all the people, to all the multitude of Israel, both to men and women, a cake of bread, one of dates, and one of raisins to each one. Then all the people left, each to his house.

Clean out the old leaven so that you may be a new lump, just as you are in fact unleavened. For Christ our Passover also has been sacrificed.Therefore let’s celebrate the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

For of His fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace.

You have ascended on high, You have led captive Your captives; You have received gifts among people, Even among the rebellious as well, that the Lord God may dwell there.

Or who has first given to Him, that it would be paid back to him?For from Him, and through Him, and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever. Amen.

Then the king and all the people offered sacrifice before the Lord.King Solomon offered a sacrifice of twenty two thousand oxen and 120,000 sheep. So the king and all the people dedicated the house of God.

Then the heads of fathers’ households of Judah and Benjamin and the priests and the Levites rose up, everyone whose spirit God had stirred to go up to rebuild the house of the Lord which is in Jerusalem.

For Christ also suffered for sins once for all time, the just for the unjust, so that He might bring us to God, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit;

I am the living bread that came down out of heaven; if anyone eats from this bread, he will live forever; and the bread which I will give for the life of the world also is My flesh.”Then the Jews began to argue with one another, saying,“ How can this man give us His flesh to eat?”So Jesus said to them,“ Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in yourselves.The one who eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.For My flesh is true food, and My blood is true drink.The one who eats My flesh and drinks My blood remains in Me, and I in him.Just as the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, the one who eats Me, he also will live because of Me.

and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma.

Whatever you do in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.

And King Solomon and all the congregation of Israel who had assembled with him before the ark were sacrificing so many sheep and oxen that they could not be counted or numbered.

All the prosperous of the earth will eat and worship, All those who go down to the dust will kneel before Him, Even he who cannot keep his soul alive.

My strength is dried up like a piece of pottery, And my tongue clings to my jaws; And You lay me in the dust of death.For dogs have surrounded me; A band of evildoers has encompassed me; They pierced my hands and my feet.I can count all my bones. They look, they stare at me;They divide my garments among them, And they cast lots for my clothing.But You, Lord, do not be far away; You who are my help, hurry to my assistance.Save my soul from the sword, My only life from the power of the dog.Save me from the lion’s mouth; From the horns of the wild oxen You answer me.I will proclaim Your name to my brothers; In the midst of the assembly I will praise You.You who fear the Lord, praise Him; All you descendants of Jacob, glorify Him, And stand in awe of Him, all you descendants of Israel.For He has not despised nor scorned the suffering of the afflicted; Nor has He hidden His face from him; But when he cried to Him for help, He heard.From You comes my praise in the great assembly; I shall pay my vows before those who fear Him.The afflicted will eat and be satisfied; Those who seek Him will praise the Lord. May your heart live forever!

and He Himself brought our sins in His body up on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live for righteousness; by His wounds you were healed.

We have an altar from which those who serve the tabernacle have no right to eat.

Josiah contributed to the lay people, to all who were present, flocks of lambs and young goats, all for the Passover offerings, numbering thirty thousand, plus three thousand bulls; these were from the king’s property.His officers also contributed a voluntary offering to the people, the priests, and the Levites. Hilkiah, Zechariah, and Jehiel, the officials of the house of God, gave the priests 2,600 from the flocks and three hundred bulls, for the Passover offerings.
