「為你百姓和你聖城，已經定了七十個七，要止住罪過，除淨罪惡，贖盡罪孽，引進永恆的公義，封住異象和預言，並膏至聖所。

從前你們與上帝隔絕，心思上與他為敵，行為邪惡；

你要以財物和一切初熟的土產尊崇耶和華，這樣，你的倉庫必充滿有餘，你的酒池有新酒盈溢。

按着律法，幾乎每樣東西都是用血潔淨的；沒有流血，就沒有赦罪。這樣，照着天上樣式做的物件必須用這些禮儀去潔淨，但那天上的一切，自然當用更美的祭物去潔淨。

行詭詐的人是可詛咒的！他的羣畜中雖有公羊，他許了願，卻將有殘疾的獻給主。因我是大君王，我的名在列國中是可畏的。這是萬軍之耶和華說的。」

你們將瞎眼的獻為祭物，這不算為惡嗎？將瘸腿的、有病的獻上，這不算為惡嗎？那麼，請把這些獻給你的省長，他豈會悅納你，豈會抬舉你呢？這是萬軍之耶和華說的。」

這就是：上帝在基督裏使世人與自己和好，不將他們的過犯歸到他們身上，並且將這和好的信息託付了我們。所以，我們作基督的特使，就好像上帝藉我們勸你們一般。我們替基督求你們，與上帝和好吧！上帝使那無罪的，替我們成為罪，好使我們在他裏面成為上帝的義。

所以，他凡事應當與他的弟兄相同，為要在上帝的事上成為慈悲忠信的大祭司，為百姓的罪獻上贖罪祭。

既在十字架上消滅了冤仇，就藉這十字架使雙方歸為一體，與上帝和好，

因為我們作仇敵的時候，尚且藉着上帝兒子的死得以與上帝和好，既已和好，就更要因他的生得救了。
