When you brought in foreigners, uncircumcised in both heart and flesh, to occupy my sanctuary, you defiled my temple while you offered my food— the fat and the blood. You broke my covenant by all your detestable practices.

爾獻餅脂血時、導心身未受割之外人、入我聖地、污我室、背我約、以增爾可惡之事、

彼異邦人身心不潔、爾導之入我聖所、以玷我室、爾雖獻餅餌血膋、亦作不端、背我盟約、

彼異邦人、心不潔、身不潔、身不潔或作身不受割禮下同爾導之入我聖所、以污褻我殿、爾雖為我獻祭、焚脂灑血、仍行諸可憎之事、背我盟約、

In addition to all your other detestable practices, you brought foreigners uncircumcised in heart and flesh into my sanctuary, desecrating my temple while you offered me food, fat and blood, and you broke my covenant.

You brought outsiders into my temple. They were not circumcised. Their hearts were stubborn. You made my temple‘ unclean.’ But you offered me food, fat and blood anyway. When you did all these things, you broke the covenant I made with you. I hated all the evil things you did.

in admitting foreigners, uncircumcised in heart and flesh, to be in my sanctuary, profaning my temple, when you offer to me my food, the fat and the blood. You have broken my covenant, in addition to all your abominations.

You have brought uncircumcised foreigners into my sanctuary— people who have no heart for God. In this way, you defiled my Temple even as you offered me my food, the fat and blood of sacrifices. In addition to all your other detestable sins, you have broken my covenant.

In that ye have brought[ into my sanctuary] strangers, uncircumcised in heart, and uncircumcised in flesh, to be in my sanctuary, to pollute it,[ even] my house, when ye offer my bread, the fat and the blood, and they have broken my covenant because of all your abominations.

When you bring foreigners, those uncircumcised in heart and in flesh, into my sanctuary, you desecrate it– even my house– when you offer my food, the fat and the blood. You have broken my covenant by all your abominable practices.

in that you have brought in foreigners, uncircumcised in heart and uncircumcised in flesh, to be in my sanctuary, to profane it, even my house, when you offer my bread, the fat and the blood, and they have broken my covenant, to add to all your abominations.

Neither you nor a foreigner are to present food to your God from any of these animals. They will not be accepted for you because they are deformed and have a defect.”

Egypt, Judah, Edom, the Ammonites, Moab, and all the inhabitants of the desert who clip the hair on their temples. All these nations are uncircumcised, and the whole house of Israel is uncircumcised in heart.’”

Circumcise yourselves to the LORD; remove the foreskin of your hearts, men of Judah and residents of Jerusalem. Otherwise, my wrath will break out like fire and burn with no one to extinguish it because of your evil deeds.

and I acted with hostility toward them and brought them into the land of their enemies— and when their uncircumcised hearts are humbled and they make amends for their iniquity,

“ This is what the Lord GOD says: No foreigner, uncircumcised in heart and flesh, may enter my sanctuary, not even a foreigner who is among the Israelites.

If any male is not circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin, that man will be cut off from his people; he has broken my covenant.”

Therefore, circumcise your hearts and don’t be stiff-necked any longer.

shouting,“ Fellow Israelites, help! This is the man who teaches everyone everywhere against our people, our law, and this place. What’s more, he also brought Greeks into the temple and has defiled this holy place.”

“ You stiff-necked people with uncircumcised hearts and ears! You are always resisting the Holy Spirit. As your ancestors did, you do also.

You were also circumcised in him with a circumcision not done with hands, by putting off the body of flesh, in the circumcision of Christ,when you were buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead.And when you were dead in trespasses and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, he made you alive with him and forgave us all our trespasses.

“ Tell Aaron: None of your descendants throughout your generations who has a physical defect is to come near to present the food of his God.

As for the foreigners who join themselves to the LORD to minister to him, to love the name of the LORD, and to become his servants— all who keep the Sabbath without desecrating it and who hold firmly to my covenant—I will bring them to my holy mountain and let them rejoice in my house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be acceptable on my altar, for my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.”

if you reject my statutes and despise my ordinances, and do not observe all my commands— and break my covenant,

He must lay his hand on its head and slaughter it before the tent of meeting. Aaron’s sons will splatter its blood on all sides of the altar.He will present part of his offering as a food offering to the LORD: the fat surrounding the entrails, all the fat that is on the entrails,and the two kidneys with the fat on them at the loins; he will also remove the fatty lobe of the liver with the kidneys.Then the priest will burn the food on the altar, as a food offering for a pleasing aroma.“ All fat belongs to the LORD.This is a permanent statute throughout your generations, wherever you live: you must not eat any fat or any blood.”

They are to be holy to their God and not profane the name of their God. For they present the food offerings to the LORD, the food of their God, and they must be holy.

You are to consider him holy since he presents the food of your God. He will be holy to you because I, the LORD who sets you apart, am holy.

The LORD said to Moses,“ You are about to rest with your ancestors, and these people will soon prostitute themselves with the foreign gods of the land they are entering. They will abandon me and break the covenant I have made with them.

He said to me,“ Son of man, this is the place of my throne and the place for the soles of my feet, where I will dwell among the Israelites forever. The house of Israel and their kings will no longer defile my holy name by their religious prostitution and by the corpses of their kings at their high places.Whenever they placed their threshold next to my threshold and their doorposts beside my doorposts, with only a wall between me and them, they were defiling my holy name by the detestable acts they committed. So I destroyed them in my anger.

If an alien resides among you and wants to observe the LORD’s Passover, every male in his household must be circumcised, and then he may participate; he will become like a native of the land. But no uncircumcised person may eat it.

At that, the Jews argued among themselves,“ How can this man give us his flesh to eat?”So Jesus said to them,“ Truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life in yourselves.The one who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day,because my flesh is true food and my blood is true drink.The one who eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him.Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me.This is the bread that came down from heaven; it is not like the manna your ancestors ate— and they died. The one who eats this bread will live forever.”

not like the covenant that I made with their ancestors on the day I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt. I showed no concern for them, says the Lord, because they did not continue in my covenant.

When I bring them into the land I swore to give their ancestors, a land flowing with milk and honey, they will eat their fill and prosper. They will turn to other gods and worship them, despising me and breaking my covenant.

“ By presenting defiled food on my altar.”“ How have we defiled you?” you ask. When you say,“ The LORD’s table is contemptible.”

He appointed his beautiful ornaments for majesty, but they made their detestable images from them, their abhorrent things. Therefore, I have made these into something filthy to them.

“ But you are profaning it when you say,‘ The Lord’s table is defiled, and its product, its food, is contemptible.’You also say,‘ Look, what a nuisance!’ And you scorn it,” says the LORD of Armies.“ You bring stolen, lame, or sick animals. You bring this as an offering! Am I to accept that from your hands?” asks the LORD.“ The deceiver is cursed who has an acceptable male in his flock and makes a vow but sacrifices a defective animal to the Lord. For I am a great King,” says the LORD of Armies,“ and my name will be feared among the nations.

No descendant of the priest Aaron who has a defect is to come near to present the food offerings to the LORD. He has a defect and is not to come near to present the food of his God.

This one will not be like the covenant I made with their ancestors on the day I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt— my covenant that they broke even though I am their master”— the LORD’s declaration.

Her priests do violence to my instruction and profane my holy things. They make no distinction between the holy and the common, and they do not explain the difference between the clean and the unclean. They close their eyes to my Sabbaths, and I am profaned among them.

For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have appointed it to you to make atonement on the altar for your lives, since it is the lifeblood that makes atonement.

The earth is polluted by its inhabitants, for they have transgressed teachings, overstepped decrees, and broken the permanent covenant.

The LORD your God will circumcise your heart and the hearts of your descendants, and you will love him with all your heart and all your soul so that you will live.

They have returned to the iniquities of their ancestors who refused to obey my words and have followed other gods to worship them. The house of Israel and the house of Judah broke my covenant I made with their ancestors.

For a person is not a Jew who is one outwardly, and true circumcision is not something visible in the flesh.On the contrary, a person is a Jew who is one inwardly, and circumcision is of the heart— by the Spirit, not the letter. That person’s praise is not from people but from God.
