The prince himself is the only one who may sit inside the gateway to eat in the presence of the Lord. He is to enter by way of the portico of the gateway and go out the same way.”

The prince shall enter by way of the vestibule of the gateway from the outside, and stand by the gatepost. The priests shall prepare his burnt offering and his peace offerings. He shall worship at the threshold of the gate. Then he shall go out, but the gate shall not be shut until evening.

Then they shall dwell in the land that I have given to Jacob My servant, where your fathers dwelt; and they shall dwell there, they, their children, and their children’s children, forever; and My servant David shall be their prince forever.

Then he measured the vestibule of the gateway, eight cubits; and the gateposts, two cubits. The vestibule of the gate was on the inside.

When the prince enters, he shall go in by way of the vestibule of the gateway, and go out the same way.“ But when the people of the land come before the Lord on the appointed feast days, whoever enters by way of the north gate to worship shall go out by way of the south gate; and whoever enters by way of the south gate shall go out by way of the north gate. He shall not return by way of the gate through which he came, but shall go out through the opposite gate.The prince shall then be in their midst. When they go in, he shall go in; and when they go out, he shall go out.

Observe Israel after the flesh: Are not those who eat of the sacrifices partakers of the altar?What am I saying then? That an idol is anything, or what is offered to idols is anything?Rather, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice they sacrifice to demons and not to God, and I do not want you to have fellowship with demons.You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the Lord’s table and of the table of demons.Or do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than He?All things are lawful for me, but not all things are helpful; all things are lawful for me, but not all things edify.Let no one seek his own, but each one the other’s well-being.Eat whatever is sold in the meat market, asking no questions for conscience’ sake;for“ the earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness.”If any of those who do not believe invites you to dinner, and you desire to go, eat whatever is set before you, asking no question for conscience’ sake.But if anyone says to you,“ This was offered to idols,” do not eat it for the sake of the one who told you, and for conscience’ sake; for“ the earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness.”“ Conscience,” I say, not your own, but that of the other. For why is my liberty judged by another man’s conscience?But if I partake with thanks, why am I evil spoken of for the food over which I give thanks?Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.Give no offense, either to the Jews or to the Greeks or to the church of God,just as I also please all men in all things, not seeking my own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved.

You may not eat within your gates the tithe of your grain or your new wine or your oil, of the firstborn of your herd or your flock, of any of your offerings which you vow, of your freewill offerings, or of the heave offering of your hand.But you must eat them before the Lord your God in the place which the Lord your God chooses, you and your son and your daughter, your male servant and your female servant, and the Levite who is within your gates; and you shall rejoice before the Lord your God in all to which you put your hands.

And there you shall eat before the Lord your God, and you shall rejoice in all to which you have put your hand, you and your households, in which the Lord your God has blessed you.

But those who have gathered it shall eat it, And praise the Lord; Those who have brought it together shall drink it in My holy courts.”

Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.

Her gain and her pay will be set apart for the Lord; it will not be treasured nor laid up, for her gain will be for those who dwell before the Lord, to eat sufficiently, and for fine clothing.

When she looked, there was the king standing by his pillar at the entrance; and the leaders and the trumpeters were by the king. From His place He shall branch out, And He shall build the temple of the Lord;Yes, He shall build the temple of the Lord. He shall bear the glory, And shall sit and rule on His throne; So He shall be a priest on His throne, And the counsel of peace shall be between them both.”’
